  1. Would need an electric start flywheel with starter ring on, prob a big job!
  2. That's what I was thinking mate! Even if customer dosent want the chip it's still easier to wheel a wheely bin of chip to the truck than lots of brash dragging!
  3. I bet someone will do it!!
  4. Cheers mate! It's a stop gap machine untill I get enough reddies for a greenmech! The entec is being sold as its only a 4" machine and alot bigger physically so brash has to be dragged to it. It's just the wrong size of machine for me, makes no sence to drag brash to a chipper when you can get a chipper that chips almost the same size material closer to the job! Make sence?!
  5. Dosent burning them encourage more growth?
  6. It sure is! Unfortunately funds are rather lacking at the mo, so a cheaper machine it will have to be! Gotta start somewhere!
  7. If you can afford a pool then heating it is the last of your worries! Lol!
  8. That's only a 2" chipper mate, gotta be 3" plus to be worthwhile in my opinion!
  9. Looks like a handy machine, will it fit through a pedestrian gateway?
  10. That's an option, just that I know of a GTM going for £1200, seeing as its close to £3000 New and has spares backup (blades, belts etc) then it might be a better option!? There are a few similar machines out there so hopefully spares won't be a problem!
  11. Winch it out, quickest and easiest way I have found!
  12. Thanks for that mate! Like I said before I would love a cs100 but just too expensive at the mo! I want to change the way I work and a wee chipper makes sence, less brash dragging and more than enough machine for the kind of jobs I do! Nice to hear from someone that has first hand experience of the GTM, does it shoot chip ok? You got anymore pics mate?
  13. Have you still got this chipper mate? Did it work out ok for you? Any issues?
  14. Food for thought!
  15. Mmmm.....what width are power barrows generally? Go through a gateway?
  16. What's your address mate or do u take PayPal! Lol!
  17. Thanks mate but I'm working inefficiently with the entec and my back ain't what it was! Most ofy jobs are crap access so I'm changing the way I work. Smaller truck and smaller chipper!
  18. Hiya, I have decided to sell my entec chippit 18 to help fund a wee chipper as the majority of my work as a one man band would be easier with a chipper I can wheel to the job! I don't have alot of cash to play with due to a rubbish year last year for various reasons! Would love a cs100 but havnt got that kind of money and finance is not an option. I have seen a few chippers that would fit the bill but now have a dilemma, the options are; 1) Brand new "Oxdale" 13hp 3" chipper. Good cause it has a Honda engine and moveable spout, but not so good as its a disc chipper and have been lead to believe that a drum is the better option for a wee chipper. £2300. 2) Second hand GTM 1300 chipper. 13hp 3". I believe this is a drum chipper so better but has a Honda copy engine on it, fixed spout (moveable is an option @£350). £1200. Am I better off with a drum chipper with a Honda copy engine or a disc chipper with a Honda engine? Anyone had experience of either machines?
  19. Is this chip dry? A mate of mine makes eco logs from sawdust etc and needs a reliable supply!
  20. Log it and sell it! Attitudes towards burning softwood are changing (for the better!)
  21. That's kinda what I thought mate, I used a 13/75 before and it was ok, just a pain having the hopper so high and dumping the chip on the ground! The Oxdale one is around £2200 New Inc vat and delivery so don't seem too bad. Other option is a gtm, but comes with a chonda engine!
  22. Anyone seen the Oxdale chippers? They do a 13hp Honda engined one, disc chipper that will do 3". Same spec as the tw 13/75 but has a shoot and alot smaller!
  23. How much is an m300 then?
  24. 2002 golf gt tdi, 130 bhp. Torquey as buggery, 6 speed. Paid £1100 for it with full service history, at 90mph still returns 55mpg! Love it!
  25. Some fair comments here!. Have just come across the Oxdale chippers, fitted with a 13hp Honda engine. I have emailed them asking about spares/price etc but might be a contender as they are an established British firm that seem to make decent log splitters etc! The machine I think is made in Italy but since it's got a Honda engine it must be sommit like it?!
