  1. I have one to fit a 660, never fitted. £15.
  2. Because "people that talk" often talk bollocks? There will not be a trailer Mot in Britain (unfortunately) and still my point stands, not all things are made to the same standards.
  3. Dunno about importing as a business, but for individual purchases normal vat is all? If you are vat reg, then within the EU you don't pay the vat in the country of purchase, provided you provide proof of export (shipping docs). Anssems are good, I used to have one, very well built and stable. I've a Hapert turntable now, well happy with it:thumbup:
  4. This statement you believe to be fact is not true. But even if it were so: cars are tested every year, there are huge differences in quality between different makes and models.
  5. In my opinion these are the Lidl/Aldi sort of trailer. All the specs on paper but not that great for hard everyday use. Fine for occasional use though, and you can afford to replace them more often I suppose. Edit: referring to the first link, not ever seen an "unsinn" in real life
  6. Missed that completely! As someone I know would say: " you f-ing blind f-ing c###!"
  7. Would it be handy to add a saw to your kit-list?
  8. From what little experience I have of hospital stays, nursing staff become a lot like relatives. You don't always get on with all of them, and some are insufferable but at the same time each one of them is indispensable! Like many others, I look forward to reading your next (well written) post on minor victories, major stebacks, and general life in your situation.
  9. I now only have two 50cc saws left... Rachel is now the proud owner of a 550, with 13" 15" and a 20" bar. I hope you two get on well together and give me a call if she's any bother.
  10. The answer is no. delivering your product to the consumer is not forestry. The fact your logs were once a tree is not relevant.
  11. In her regelement (waarin je toestemde door lid te worden) van dit Forum, staat dat Engels de voertaal dien te zijn. :-) So: speak Engels, bloody buut'nlanders! :-)
  12. I just went to the shop as the only ATM in the village is in it, while I was there I bought some crisps (pipers, the best crisps by far!) Even though I didn't need any. At the till sally who served me said just how cute my puppy looked with its tiny head sticking out the bib of my dungarees. Then I paid and went home. Thanks Daniel.
  13. I'd be interested! its quite close to us and I've been there a couple of times before, but not had the chance to see much as with wife and kids.
  14. Husky 365 x-torque would fit the bill. Its a pro saw (magnesium case and what not), well proven design, nil-cost upgrade to 372 spec makes it the most power for the least money by a fair way!
  15. Then you need a tacho in y'er towing vehicle as your towing a trailer for hire or reward. Also, depending on how many you've had, you may need to employ another driver?
  16. What's the wood for, who's is it and where are you taking it?
  17. If a firm wants to hire you, they don't want to wait till you've looked at the job to say yay or nay if you're not confident you can do it. Overconfidence on the other hand is also no good, I've had subbies that were not as capable as they'd made out/ I expected and they don't get hired again...
  18. But when was it built? (check serial number plate)
  19. I currently have three 50cc saws, one has to go! Have a play with 'em this weekend and you'll realize you NEED a husky 550!
  20. I normally am, and super-modest as well! :-)
  21. Dear Arbtalk: should I buy a green fiat 500 or a red one? Answers range from:" a purple pushbike" to "a black 16t all wheel-drive lorry" :-)
  22. I reckon with those two you're going to want a bigger saw pretty soon! I'd get a 50cc saw to go with her 181. Not that much heavier, and will take 13" up to 20" (with patience), meaning that you'll be able to tackle pretty much anything that comes your way. Bit more money spent but far more future proof and I hear you're earning heaps of money these days anyway :-) !
  23. Echoing TvI's post I'm seriously impressed by your positive, pragmatic attitude! Its great to read you again, and I hope the recovery road is relatively smooth for you.
  24. At the dimensions stated it'll go on a trailer easy enough won't it? (π x r² x length gives a volume near 2m² x 800kg/m²=only just over 1.5t) Would probably be a bit cheaper and more efficient (less wastage) if you can get it to a "proper" mill. If you want it milled on-site, I have an Alaskan mill that'll cut that, am currently on a job near market feeling so PeBo isn't too far.
  25. Electric fencing won't stop*foxes!
