  1. On my mighty Grand Cherokee, the end of the stalk turns the lights on, then when they are in you can pull it out a bit, this turns the front fogs on, then turn it a click more for the rears. Ought similar?
  2. Was really nice to meet you and a good couple of days work we did! Good work ethic (she'd probably run back from the chipper I reckon... ) Thanks very much and see you soon.
  3. I hear they're rife!
  4. As for "the boy" he sent me an invoice for £100 for his two days. I thought that showed that perhaps he understood? Sent a cheque for £150 as its the right thing to do (and it seems most if you agree). Thanks very much to all that voted.
  5. Thanks for that message, sorry you can't make it. Will keep your details for the future. :-) This weekend is planting hedge weekend. 7am till dark, 150/day. Anyone else?
  6. I don't understand why everybody keeps pronouncing his name wrong/poncy? Surely it should rhyme with garage? Regards, Eu imported worker.
  7. You can have double that if you can make it to Huntingdon for 7am tomorrow and sun ...
  8. Where?
  9. Not a goose (goose eggs are pointier), and not a swan egg either I reckon as they tend to be a bit spotty and also pointier. Unless the person holding it has tiny hands, I'd go with David's suggestions.
  10. I can. It won't be dead straight, but straight-ish. Quite simply the most durable timber for fencing we can grow in Europe. Do you really need 8ft posts to stop otters and beavers though?
  11. Is that to connect to husky autotune or for stihl m-tronic?
  12. Thanks for that, I'll change it now!
  13. I reckon I'll have to change my password too, make it longer=safer I've been told. I reckon "passwooooooord" should be long enough? :-)
  14. Funny, my wife was telling me to go via Wisbech on my way home from Spalding... I live near Sleaford.
  15. Forgot to say, Job is in Hilton village.
  16. Welkom to Arbtalk Jeroen! I hope you find a placement with a company you like and learn from. Dutch People are really cool in general:thumbup:
  17. Oi! I'm very pretty, thank you!! But nobody's started a photo thread about me:sad:
  18. :nurse:Not good news! I hope you recover swiftly and fully.:nurse:
  19. I have one of the very earliest ever 550's (got it before it was released for sale in UK) and it has just last week snapped it's first brake-band. Been completely faultless otherwise, never seen a plug-spanner! My point to mr Troll was that repeating the same (void) argument over and over again gets rather tiring... (I wonder if he is actually paid by Dolmar, a bit of cunning reverse psychology? If so, it works, I've ordered two 5105's mainly at his "recommendations"...)
  20. Hello,*I need a bit of farm hedging planted as a "family favour" It's a bit out of my way so could do with somebody local to whack this in for me. Its about 300m (about 200m in one straight line, the rest in 10-20m bits over 300m) hawthorn, blackthorn, field maple and hazel. All plants to be caned+spiralled. All plants and guards supplied. 2 person-days I'd say? Anybody available to do this, will need to be done fairly soon-ish. PM would be nice, call me office hours only, or text if after hours. Thanks, Daniel
  21. I don't climb trees much, I believe in evolution... If I did though, On of these would be top of my list:thumbup1:
  22. As a rough guide, how much should I pay for hiring an 8t or 10t machine for two or three weeks? No grab/shear or special equipment, just bucket work.
  23. I'll leave this until Monday I reckon, then I'll send a cheque for the average of the votes. Interweb demockracy
  24. A much safer way, and more accurate would be to make a really big square edged hole in an an old exhaust with a sliding cover. That way you can make the hole smaller again after you've gone past the perfect size and performance no longer improves. Then with the hole at the ideal size, simply measure up and create a hole that size in the real exhaust. Downside is you'd either need a spare exhaust or close off the excess hole you've made.
