  1. I've worked through agencies before. It doesn't help motivation much to be seen as disposable... But for many foreign workers it's the best chance of getting work so we're often willing to work harder. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. So the general consensus is: it won't cause any problems, but won't add (much if any) power unless I add more fuel. I think I may leave it for now then. Thanks for the inputs. Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Working for me, top notch! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Do you have any means of control over the airflow as it comes in? In case you think it brings in more cold air than you need/want? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Hey experts! I was tinkering with my truck yesterday and noticed just how much space I have around it... It made me wonder whether there would be much benefit in adding a (suitably sized) intercooler to it? Engine is an iveco, turbocharged (duh) 6l straight six, about 100k, but 22 years old. It's in good condition, little smoky at startup, uses no oil and has no known faults. So is it as simple as just slapping one on, and have more power? I presume there'd be a bit more turbo-lag though currently there is none noticeable? Any drawbacks? Would I have to increase fuel supply? (I presume this can be done by tweaking the high pressure pump..?) Cheers, Daniel
  6. Same here
  7. https://www.frjonesandson.co.uk And yes, they'll deliver to the Netherlands.
  8. Same here, the links open a page with the address of the actual page it's supposed to be linking to displayed as text? Copying and pasting that to the browser bar gets us there but it's a bit of a faff... Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  9. Or you could go to frjones, buy a new new one, warranty and all that, for about €800...? Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app
  10. Wtf!?!? That's low! Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  13. How about a dedicated trailer crane? This one will lift a tonne out to 10m and up to 20m high? http://www.boecker-group.com/en/trailer-cranes/products/trailer-cranes/details/145/ahk-36-2400-hybride.html Sent from my D5803 using Arbtalk mobile app

  15. I've got a new 76mm dewalt forsty with extension (8“ or so I think?). Make me an offer?
  16. I've done this. Left a site in a hurry (had to collect a sick kiddo from school) left a saw right beside a fairly busy footpath one Friday afternoon... Didn't work on the weekend, Monday was a slacking (storm so paperwork) day. Didn't even realise until Tuesday lunchtime! Raced back to that job after racking my brains as to how or why it could have gone missing from the truck? Theft; not likely as all other saws present. Fell out; surely I'd have noticed. Borrowed; nobody that has access to my tools would dare without permission It was exactly where I left it! Did he/you go back to check?
  17. I think Clarke's sell the harvester bars, give them a call I reckon.
  18. I use the msa/sordins (33 snr) too, as they were the highest rated. I don't really see the point of having ones that are only just adequate? when I replace them I'll get the peltor x5 probably, rated at 37snr. The extra material doesn't hinder me at all? They're probably a few grams heavier too, but I can offset that by shaving if I wanted to. According to that research I linked to earlier, noise at user position was around 100dB, which would mean the protos protection is plenty. The mention (in the first post) of snr dropping when connected to a helmet was news to me, anyone got any more info on this?
  19. Some good info here https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=http://www.hse.gov.uk/research/rrpdf/rr618.pdf&ved=0ahUKEwjZ4Yb8k-bLAhVHm3IKHQabDW4QFggkMAA&usg=AFQjCNHjQN5oaOR81DK8mRNfM3XEQEhFZw Its a practical test of a range of chippers' noise emissions.
  20. Its http://www.sugiharabarsuk.co.uk/ rather than .Com.
  21. Nah, it's gorilla glue. Sticks like stuff that sticks really well, and expands a bit as it cures.
  22. Then I tried new boots
