I've an (android) app question: When I use "quick reply" the app always adds the "sent from [device] using arbtalk mobile app" bit. When sing advance reply, I can untick the box to turn this off. Is there a way to permanently turn this off?

I'm pretty sure taxation class has no bearing on what license you need, nor does it make a difference licence-wise if you drive a motorhome or a scrap metal truck. Both instances you just go for it and plead ignorance:thumbup: It does have implications for speed limits though, as motorhomes under 3500kgs have the same speed limits as cars, where as the vans they are based on don't as commercial vehicles

Towing a frames and recovery a frames are different. A recovery one, doesn't need brakes to work but may only be used for actual recovery. A "proper" towing one, with a fixed rigid attachment point to the car can be used legally. The car then becomes a trailer. Though there are cars under 750kg (smart, seicento, modified aygo and a few others) this is only relevant for the towing category on the license. If a trailer (of any weight) has brakes fitted, they need to be fully functional. There are several systems to allow for this, ranging from simple overrun cables to the brake pedal, air, electro-hydraulic, fully electric, etc and combinations of the above. A tow car on an a frame can be reversed just fine, on a recovery a frame anything other than the slightest of curves can cause problems. A bit I suppose. Most chromebooks are so cheap an fast because they don't need run a heavy operating system as their main tasks are Web based. They tend to have small solid state (means no spinny thing, makes it faster and more robust) harddrives, if you need more storage you can add a memory card (200gb is easily available, cheap, near indestructible and only the size of a stamp) You can use office like products. Also, depending on which one you buy it can be possible to use android apps on a chromebook, opening a huge array of usefulness. Sent from my E5823 using Arbtalk mobile app

My wife's was hit in the rear by a car that was driven by a confused elderly gent, damage over 9k, write off. However, the car is an electric one, with the batteries leased from Renault (also about 9k). It took the insurance over three months to decide how much the car was actually worth, who owned what part of it etc. They flew in an expert from France to assess the batteries... Then, they insisted that we were to pay for the batteries, their removal and their transport to Mr and Mrs Renault's place! Fortunately I'd made a point of asking about just such an event when getting insured and made sure to get that in writing too. Full value paid out in the end (they did make a lower offer first, they always do, we told them to stuff it), had a courtesy car for over three months, and got some money towards the cost of fuelling that car too. Ibc containers are fine, when they meet the standard, but must be bunded. Drums are fine too, but must also have a secondary containment in place with a capacity of at least a quarter of all the oil that could be stored.
