  1. I'll open the bidding at £9758.75
  2. Thanks people, I'll ring them this morn!
  3. Just make sure the wall has see through bits in, for when the baddies on the other side throw all their big bags of drugs over the wall endangering the lives of the guards patrolling the inside:lol:
  4. Does anyone know of any company that'll rent out a vehicle with a towbar? I just was on the phone to all the usual rental places and they all state that even if they rent me a vehicle with a towbar, I'm not allowed to use it for towing:confused1: I've a trailer in Norfolk that I need to get back to Oxford this weekend (with a detour via a mate, else i'd just get it recovered) and my own truck is off the road for now. I'm currently based near Oxford, but can drive around a bit if needed?
  5. Traditional values and culture...? really? This flag is four years old.... If this flag were shown to people not aware of it's supposed meaning, I bet a lot of folk would think it were a KKK subsiduary
  6. Whoops... My bro had one of them ssanyongs, the 2.9 was not a patch on the 2.7 engine in them, but swapping them over was too involved to bother so he got a landcruiser instead.
  7. This is probably as factual as most of y'r posts...[emoji14]
  8. CNG or lpg fuelled engines are much much cleaner. Our colonial cousins stateside have a lot more petrol powered tools and also a lot more gas powered ones. The only drawback is availability and portability (of the fuel, not so easy to refuel in the field...)
  9. I am, very proud![emoji1] It's one of the few tools that get used every single day of the year!
  10. My favourite mug lost it's handle...[emoji22] Fixed with some epoxy (with glow in the dark dust mixed in) [emoji106]
  11. If you have a purpose built trailer, you can use the structural integrity of the load to make the combination work together. As long as the axles are up to task. Rather than having to build a trailer that is strong enough to carry a random load which would have to be much stronger.

    Chainsaws.

This, excessive technical details work well!
  13. I'm the same Daniel all week long, I also have two daughters that find it hilarious to paint my nails in funny colours. I'm a little too old to think such is feminine -or god forbid: camp!- it's just nails what have paint on.
  14. The problem isn't so much the durability of the finish though, but rather the adhesion to the actual nail.
  15. I got stung on the spine in my sleep a while ago. It smarts a bit, but not really much worse than a wasp. Put vinegar on it straight away, their (and wasps') sting is alkaline and the vinegar neutralises it. Anyways, thanks for the suggestions folks! We tried spraying euc and mint oils, made the place smell a bit but hasn't made any difference to the hornets. I'd have preferred to leave them, but the best was about a foot above head height in the toilet, a place of sanctuary and safety. So, got the smoker out, filled the building with smoke (all the hornets started buzzing manically at this stage, presumably a ventilation thing?), left it for a bit, more smoke, then came back to an empty nest and removed it. There was no larvae in it yet, but all the cells had eggs in. Hopefully they'll regroup and try again elsewhere. I've left a smoldering smoker in the space, migth leave it overnight to stop then coming back to the same place.
  16. I did some testing, it's all shite.
  17. Costs money, but saves more.
  18. Is this on top of your wages? Or you and the vehicle together?
  19. Evergreen or deciduous has nothing to do with the hardwood/softwood classification. As you mention, there's Holly but elsewhere in the world it gets more clear. In the tropics, where the seasons work much different to our hot/cold ones deciduous trees are rare, and yet the tropical forests are (mainly? Ive seen some tropical forests and never a conifer in sight) evergreen. Then there's conifers that lose their foliage, like larch or swamp Cypress. What I meant to disagree with was the use of evergreen and decidous
  20. Yes, but confined to trees I suppose? Angiosperm also includes flowering plants.
  21. Had a look, the variants in the Netherlands that are allowed to tow (1300kgs) have all been fitted with better brakes, better cooling system and I think some other minor things. Models without these changes can still have a towbar for mounting a bike rack or such but aren't allowed to tow.
  22. Alan at http://www.lynxdiesels.com will recon at a reasonable price and excellent service.
  23. No, not all deciduous trees are hardwood, and not all evergreens are softwood.
  24. Is the manual in more than one language? On my brother's old SsangYong the manual said 3.5t braked in Dutch, 2.7t braked in English... My old Jeep was the opposite, 3.5t in English, 3.36 in Dutch. So this made me think the method of calculating the capacity must be different for different places? As such I'd think the numbers in the manual don't apply. Maybe someone knows how towing weights are calculated?
  25. Looks like he's gone
