  1. Should of said one tree that had massive decay in limb could of been seen with small ladder even one of those telescopic ones, and that tree was inspected by a big company which sent parish council a 28 page report on it.
  2. Climbing tickets maybe a good thing as to many tree surveys I have read and then done work on the trees the survey has missed lots of things.
  3. There must be an idiot in the country somewhere selling them.
  4. Glue as mentioned above, I have used steel pins made from threaded rod or long bolts with heads cut off.
  5. The best thing you can do is get in contact with timberwolf and express the problem you have had, on your list of parts from them it may have how picked it and this will be a key part to what has gone wrong.
  6. Which dealer did you use, as have found some give timberwolf a bad name do to the service dealer gives. There is a thread on here somewhere telling people how to fit bearings properly, a new chipper bearings last for along time so if fail after 40 hours they were fitted wrong. Also have seen manual update by other manufacturers with vast changes.
  7. I got a call Friday morning from a old stable yard were I have done some fencing and tree work, asking could I repair a stable did think it was a wined up but no pony had bent metal railings between sectional stables.
  8. Also good length of rope and a couple of pulleys to pull odd tree if needed.
  9. I am not the only one to mention trailer, so don't just point out what I have said and no one else. You now what business you want to take on and what ground to get across its up to you to decide what you get but £8000 should buy you something decent,
  10. Trailers are the best bit of kit you can have, take up no more room then truck to store, can increase your carrying capacity by 3x depending on truck towing it. You can tow a fair size chipper with average size van and if job is so big will probably have extra drivers available anyway.
  11. Would of thought easy repair for anyone good with spanners, as that engine was fitted to know end of things.
  12. Well yes if they could of back trailer in they would have, lots of places you can push chipper in by hand and not get truck in. Yes it is a good idea, would be interested to know if it got block many times, looks like some thought went in to it with cramp set up at the top.
  13. When you just chuck brash over edge an let gravity take over then put it through chipper.
  14. Six foot tines sticking out the back would certainly draw attention to them to start with,
  15. They got chipper in there so why not get van and trailer.
  16. https://timberwolf-uk.com/about/owners-club/ This one. Also had Christmas card from them for years.
  17. This is not true, if you sign up to owners club you get a phone call about on average every 6 months asking how you are getting on with your chippers no matter how old they are. Got a new greenmech turning up tomorrow will be interesting if I get same service.
  18. Can't see ladder sliding when in bucket, also working on church so vicar is probably said a word for them.
  19. Looks like there front ride on mower wheels, you just need to measure shaft size and order from someone how stocks them.
  20. Cut on to sheets and put them through chipper.
  21. I reckon he means clippings not chippings
  22. Maybe worth looking at folding corn augers to get some ideas,
  23. Heave can't be your blame, maybe worth taking to how is involved at surgery and explain tree is in a bad state and if it fails it will course more damage than probably the crane, temp roadway would be first option and smallest crane you can get away with. And we all have insurance maybe worth having a word with them about your cover.
