  2. How many calories would you burn whilst climbing?
  3. Liked!
  4. Leylandii??
  5. Great vid again Dan keep em coming ;0)
  6. I have had and still have alot of traps! I've been catching squirrels for the past 30 years and always caught in my new traps! I've never buried, boiled, or worn gloves! Since march 1st this year I've caught well over 3000 running 200 fens. I think if you actually went out and did some trapping you would know that your last post is utter rubbish!!
  7. Absolute nonsense a squirrel would eat peanut butter from a human hand if you kept still long enough! I've caught 10s of thousands of squirrels in brand new traps un buried and un washed
  8. The only traps I wash are fox snares and cages! Anything else doesn't get put off by the smell of its dead friend! If anything squeeze the bladders of caught squirrels int a spray bottle and give your traps a squirt.
  9. Are you sure it's squirrels taking the bait? I'll bet it's wood mice! Try half a maze cob that will stop the mice taking it.
  10. When I did mine the gear was supplied! I would ask the course provider before you shell out any money,
  11. Any of the company's that advertise on here mate are really good, some a bit dearer than others but they will all give you good honest advise. My advise to you is go and visit your nearest shop and look at it, feel i,t and try it on, and have a swing in it, at least then you can be sure you've spent your money on something tailored to you.
  12. I would include access lines and srt systems! Simply because it's a more efficient method of crown access and in the event of an accident it enables quick access to the stricken climber.
  13. Great vid fella!!
  14. I've used every call on the market except the fox pro, most digital calls work in certain situations I find people over use them and get less than desired results! The one I've had the most success with is Ihunt app on iPhone connected to a speaker mounted low to the ground on my landy.
  15. I took a shed down last weekend and came across a nest of them, they are identical to a black widow minus the red markings
  16. Yes tapatalk is great on iPad as well, I upload photos without problems
  17. I've had 2 recently from Wordpress, it shows all of the arbtalk members email addresses, it says admin new order received anyone else had this?
  18. She also won 2012 uk I tcc if I'm not mistaken.
  19. I live 10 miles from the arbshow site and it's hammering down here! I don't envy anyone camping there at the moment.
  20. Prussic, bowline, larksfoot, timber hitch,
  21. Yes I could, but my original idea was a way of capturing my progress while using my hitchclimber vt, adding a prussic above the vt takes a couple of seconds to put on and take off and enables me to bodythrusts and take up slack without holding my weight. By adding a prussic you don't need to use the other end of your rope.
  22. I used all my own gear, I even used my hitchclimber vt for the course and my assesment my instructor was keen for me to stick with what I had already climbed on.
  23. It would be interesting to hear from the many splicers on hear what there views are. Paul
  24. Also I'm sure I've read that it's not a good idea to use spliced end of your rope as the bend directly behind splice can compromise its strength!
