  1. Don't buy a break barrel 410 they kick like a mule get a semi auto 20 much better. my daughter is the same loves doing the traps with me.
  2. I had a spate of the softys when my kids were born! But soon got over it when 4 fox cubs got in a partridge pen and killed 200 poults!! I soon got the red mist back;0)
  3. The parents I assume! There way of keeping the the best males to do there thing. I could castrate a squirrel at 200 yards with my 222 but probably wouldn't recover from it!!
  4. Laugh I nearly cried! It was the bit about the babies falling out screaming that did it!! All that aside if a kit fell 20 feet from a drey the likelihood would be it would have massive internal injury that would kill it anyway! Here's an interesting squirel observation for you all, I've shot and trapped tens of thousands of squirrels and it's amazing how many males have been castrated!!
  5. Cheers Rupe! I'd never heard of a Tibloc! Would you still need a short length of cord between the pulley and the Tibloc ? if so then surely you don't need the Tibloc????

I just wanted you to confirm that even the worlds best climbers sometimes have the odd whoopsie!! I watch your vids with nothing more than maximum respect. Paul

  9. I agree nick! these knives are meant to be used that what makes them hard to find in new condition how long we're you on the waiting list for? The last I read it was 15 years!
  10. The scales are made from wood from a dismantled church, I think I read somewhere. The new ones are English oak I believe.

  12. If it was brand new unused and not been sharpened by the original owner! Oh and if I had the spare cash I would pay £50 more than the purchase price . However if it's old been abused and going for a reasonable price i could be interested. What kind of figure are you thinking?
  13. Great harness for the larger climber! extremely comfortable.
  14. My first thoughts are with his family but I also feel for the poor buggers that found him!! I know there professionals but it still affects them deeply.
  15. I would have done it for nowt! There is more to life than money!! If your ever stuck for help nights,evenings, weekends, I'll gladly drag brash, stack wood, rake up rubbish, perform aerial rescue! ;0)

  17. Ben is probably one of the top five tool/ knife makers in the uk IMHO I've got an A Wright knife but one day I will own an Orford or a Alan wood bushcraft knife.

  23. I have to climb up onto the chimney pot and rod from the top! I use a a liner brush its brushes are about half an inch long, it does a great job of getting the hard tar off, however I have to do it 3 times a year cos I burn alot of crap wood.
