  1. I had exactly the same red tape recently cutting a hedge in a factory nothing big but the measures they wanted me to take & the lengths they wanted me to go to were plain stupid! The cost of the job would have at least tripled to forfill each & every one of there requirements!!

    Ms261 or 346xp

Has anyone else came across reliability issues with the huskys then?

    Ms261 or 346xp

Nearest stihl dealer is 15 mins away but have been using jonesy for my latest purchases. Was just impressed with how the husky felt compared to my 8 year old ms260!
  4. The question is which new saw to go for?? I have an older 260 but had a play with a brand new 346xp the other day & was quite impressed after being a stihl man. How does the ms261 & 346xp compare?
  5. That was the whole point of the law changing to stop those sort of people being able being able to do that
  6. Nice dog!
  7. The B+E would be the best option at least that will allow you to tow a trailer of any weight behind a van
  8. Are you sure about that??
  9. Hi, one business insurance solutions cover tools, trailers, sheds & goods in transit etc.
  10. What splitters are they in the vids & best place to get one from? thanks
  11. The 00-06 shape transit seems to go through alot of clutches! Later one seems to be fine though
  12. It will do the job but may take a little longer as its not got the guts of the more powerful clearing saws. I find the 3 prong steel blade best for that sort of thing.

    hayter 56 pro

My hayter 19 inch pro mower was knackered within 18 months, it was replaced with a 21 inch pro honda (more expensive but definately worth it) its now in its 6th grass cutting season although it had to have quite abit of money spent on it at the start of the season to replace the drive gears & roller etc. but she is still going just as strong 6 years on!
  14. Do you find it a problem them not being waterproof? Im after a good all rounder?
  15. Im looking at getting a new set of goretex chainsaw boots as mine have better days. Whats everyone got? Good & bad points? Prices & best suppliers? Thanks
  16. Try commercial vehicle direct, they were alot cheaper than the price comparison websites
  17. My van (too good for work!) with the old work horse behind it. sadly sold both of them to get something bigger with a larger train weight for towing
  18. RIP I would be lost with out my 2 labs they come every where with me! Very sad!
  19. Commercial contracts are ok but i noticed at the start of the recession the grounds maintenance contracts were the first thing to be knocked on the head. I would rather have more private customers than commercial ones as they are more likely to stick by you through good & bad! Better not to have all your eggs in one basket! I usually price at £20 per hour per person & ride on mower work at £35 per hour (including petrol) + any waste disposal.
  20. used to be mine until a few months ago!
  21. Whats the best way to up load a picture from my laptop files?? im lost!
  22. Awesome piece of work!!
  23. Just out of interest where did you do your training etc & how much was it as im not that far away from you?
  24. Its the same in most trades at the minute, people who get made redundant/out of work see it as an easy option to get a van & start doing peoples trees & gardens under cutting those of us that are qualified & insured etc. Wheres it all going to end???
  25. Sorry i proberly should have written that a little better, i realise that having the relevant tickets are essential, was just asking the question are all of the units a must have?? For instants if you have CS33 felling large trees would you need CS44 felling standing stems? Etc. thanks for the help
