  5. i have the same saw ms260 and did mention on one of my posts regarding the mounting movement compared to my ms250 now sold on etc and was worried about how soft it was etc but now accept it as normal i think it was down to a change of a better breed of saw etc i also checked out all my mounts and where not worn out or off center etc i,am made up i got one anyway there a good little saw designed to be used all day so dont worrie about it too much as mine is still soft n squidgy i ment the saw lol not what your dirty minds are thinkin

  14. tree gypsy begora lol but have been called a jobber in the past but now just described as a service user by my DR
  15. i have just got one but only tried it out once to work out how to set it up on the bar etc but cant really fault it yet. I only want it for recovering damaged chains othewise i use a file but its a matter of how much time & preferance you have too"" as i only do logs for my fire i,am not in a rush and get more satisfaction out of filing my chain but when its set up propper on your bar its easy to use etc there are some very good videos available somewhere of them in use
  16. as far as i know your hitch should be spring loaded through a internal damper and on forward braking it will travel backwards thus appliying your brakes and when you release your brake pedel it should return to a neutral position to release the trailer brakes so if you say stop quick with your trailer just try to give it time to release then reverse slowly and your trailer hitch should in theory hold its own brakes off but if the brake hitch damper is worn out faulty or the hitch piston/tube is bent it wont have the travel to release the brakes keep it well greased and check its function when the trailer is being serviced.>>> PS i have had the hitch tube/piston bent it the past thus brake wont release etc
  17. Catch,em then boil,em in bar oil then tie em up in the tallest tree tard & feathered then drop the tree there in and send your arb dog on,em oh and then give the scroat a good kickin and the chop his thievin hands of with said chainsaw and thow him through your chipper best days work you,ve ever done scum job done lol
  18. at this rate there wont be any cosha secondhand equipment for sale!! it will all be hooky i think its all down to being a product of there upbringing IE" no respect for other,s and the way the law is structured these days when the culprits are caught etc he,s not a bad lad really he,s from a broken home milud he needs help not punishment etc etc its a boot up the arse and jail with a big tatoo saying thief on there forehead my blood boils as i type this as theres no justice in this country anymore its a shadow of what it stood for and decent people a leaving in there droves for a better life elswhere no bloody wonder when other people think they have more right than you to your own gear
  19. i,am hoping eventually when i get the gearing rite to fit a single cylinder donky engine but at the moment its got a chin chong nicky noname wont last 5 mins on it that i got with it from ebay key start etc so want to see how it goes on the slower torque gearing etc it also keeps my mind busy etc to stop me thinking bad thoughts as i,ve had it rough over christmas just me and the dog etc etc
  20. yawn zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  21. part 2 [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KVv2lIMT7vk]CATASTROPHIC FAILURE DURING TREE REMOVAL - YouTube[/ame]
  22. thanks i will have a root on there site now cheers for the info. As for fenner i,ve managed to get my hands on a fenner12" 2 vee pully but its cracked in 2 places where the taperlock once fitted so its rendered scrap but could really do with a 16" 2 VEE PULLY say off a old compressor with a 38mm 1.5" bore bigger the better in thinking it will store more kinetic energy for the screw to work better thats thinking anyway and can adapt almost any size of engine as the gearing will be nice n slow as at the moment its gearing is for a electric motor 1200 ish rpm and the 4.5hp diesel engine it got fitted runs at 3000 rpm so want to slow it down but give it more torque sorry i,am rambling on
  23. thanks everyone for posting as for belt size i would guess about 17 mm wide but would have to check in the daylight as i,am out my depth about spa spz section your talkin to a chimp please keep it simple like me will you thanks lol
  24. I,am looking for a 400mm/16" twin 17mm vee pully with a 38mm/1.5" shaft hole as i,am trying to knock together a log screw/splitter its almost there but the gearing needs a 16" ish pully as i,ve only got a 4.5hp engine and the 8" pully thats fitted is to fast and stalls the engine so any big old cast pully off a donky engine with a shaft size of 38mm or inch n half and 16 inch or more the better i know its a big ask but would be very greatful and willing to pay or donate etc
  25. I like your thinking about selling some oil on and purchase some proper bar oil. I just thought its less hassle to just buy some stp as the oil i get is longlife fully synthetic and free"" etc. Thanks for all the advice & i,am very greatful for your replys cheers
