  1. Actually referring to planting trees in general to close walls or other structures in general effecting future growth. easy-lift guy
  2. Did you choose to plant the tree so close to the fence do to lack of space?. Considering how large this tree can become in a few years I would have never planted any tree so close to a fence. Difficult to rationalize the damage done by your "strimmer man". My shorter better half use to mow the lawn with the Snapper and though it was funny with myself following behind with my line trimmer or "strimmer" leveling all the streaks she would leave behind since she was to lazy to cut slower and use reverse. She has been banned from all future Snapper use, for many good reasons. I would suggest in future leaving all new trees with plenty of future growth space, remove all turf 24" from the trunk outward with a native type mulch as ground cover. easy-lift guy
  3. Ask for a police report and keep the forum posted on how long they wl be in jail, unless of course they are all ready out. easy-lift guy
  4. Tragic. I believe the customer received exactly what they payed for. easy-lift guy
  5. Here stateside when I was selling Firewood If I had any soft wood with a load it was always a 3 to 1 ratio hard to soft wood. No exceptions. Never had any problems and I liked it that way. easy-lift guy
  6. I had 8 left over batteries in my wear house a month ago so I decided to take to scrap yard. Seems the theft issue is so great now a customer can only bring in Two batteries any size once every 24 hours!. If you try and bring in more you get turned away. easy-lift guy
  7. Looks like it will work well with soft wood, have you tried it yet with any hardwood species?. Looks like a great investment, happy for your future success. easy-lift guy
  8. Drink plenty of water, Take Two ibuprofen and get your wife to give you a good back rub:thumbup1:. I will leave the balance up to you imagination:001_rolleyes: easy-lift guy
  9. As the easy-lift guy I find the need to keep myself in the best shape both physically and mentally a must every day. I train at the YMCA at least once a week with my trainer in lieu of maintenance work and the rest of the time I am riding my bike. My weight has pretty much remained the same for the last 5 years. Maintaining my weight is critical from a presentation standpoint. Just like Clark Kent, the job is not hard. Making the impossible look easy is what's really challenging, especially with a smile. 10. Here in Florida I believe that would be considered assault. I have no time for this stupidity. I leave this matter up to law enforcement, usually after 10 or 15 minutes the law shows up and the issue is under control. easy-lift guy
  11. Let me guess, was he an engineer in his past working life:sneaky2: easy-lift guy
  12. I have actually had one customer warn me about their neighbor or neighbors before I would even start work at his home. Seems he had an opinion about most of them, I was happy to be well informed in advance. Keeps the neighborhood drama down to sound level. easy-lift guy
  13. Really nice stories to share. I believe there are perfect customers just have to treat them fair and the ROI will be yours ++. easy-lift guy
  14. I suppose that is where Rocky the Flying Squirrel came from! easy-lift guy
  15. I will do my best, last APF, I packed an additional supply of nice weather for the event and the show was wonderful:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  16. Good news. Thank you for keeping the forum up dated. easy-lift guy
  17. Understood. We do have our rainy season here generally between April-August. Actually not having control of the trailer due to the size of the truck would leave me pretty shook up as well. Yes you are welcome to come over to dry out and I will show you some Southern Hospitality as well: easy-lift guy
  18. Your right. I suspect pontoons and an out board motor might be a better means of transport around certain parts of the UK these days! easy-lift guy
  19. Are trailers in the UK illegal with electric breaks?. Standard fare this part of the world. Flat country for the most part where I live and in the past I would on a weekly basis pull 32-36' trailers. Usuall GVW any where from 14 to 18 K. I could not begin to comprehend pulling any of my trailers with out electric breaks. The OP'S thread reads like he may have been over loaded and weather conditions were also working against him as well. My policy has always been never to travel in rainy conditions. Far to many idiots behind the wheel ready willing and able to cause an accident or Two and never give a Second thought. easy-lift guy
  20. Many Happy Returns Justin and Crew. easy-lift guy
  21. Welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  22. I believe you did nothing wrong. The agent representing the owner of the property did a disservice by not hiring you in the first place and than to add insult to injury, possibly in more ways than one hired another company without letting you know. The pety actions of "window shoppers" or other types of decision makers can be frustrating. Maintain your standards and understand that the law of averages will kick in sooner or later. When something happens to the other companies out there it happens for a number of bad reasons. Stay on the straight and narrow, continue to discuss and seek solutions on AT. You are not alone. easy-lift guy
  23. Greetings and Welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  24. Shane, I think your working 27 hour days?. Based on your normal daily schedule. Wow you are productive:thumbup1:, how do you do it:confused1: Here I am @ 4:12 on a Sunday morning and I am reading your reply. I am not sure if I am inspired or wondering if my shorter better half's snoring and the daughters Text messaging can keep me up any longer from sleeping:lol: Sleep after all is so over rated:sneaky2:. easy-lift guy
  25. Ask the customer to if they are willing to sign an affidavit to the fact that the tree fell prior to your arrival. That and the pictures should cover you from a liability standpoint, at least here stateside it would. easy-lift guy
