  2. I have been told that back at turn of the 20th century a remedy for cracked dry skin which was common from working in tanneries was human urine. Uric acid has many uses. easy-lift guy
  3. Nice, color adds just the right touch. easy-lift guy
  4. Last time I checked I was a US Citizen. I have been conducting business internationally for the last 7 years and I am 3 generation Polish American. Also I have visited the UK 2 times in the last Two years on business, pleasure. I hope that I have provided enough information for you to tailor a response that is suitable. easy-lift guy
  5. Jules, How did the UK survive before joining the EU?. How many millions of £££'s could be saved by adopting everything that is presently being imposed upon the citizens of the UK by Brussels. Courage and common sense could prevail if the citizens of the UK learn that more of a bad thing is really not in the best interest of the country as a whole. easy-lift guy
  6. I believe that joining the EU was never really in the best interest of the UK, more of a pipe dream trying to create a united Europe of something or another. Joining the EU was a mistake on behalf of the UK. Keeping the £ as your primary currency source was a wise decision. Continuing to fund the EU and additional new rules and regulations being implemented by Brussels in my opinion is a loose loose for the UK. Considering the regulation nation that IMHO the UK has going now, why in the world should the citizens of the UK give up more for the perceived need to belong? My Two cents. easy-lift guy
  7. Greetings and Welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  8. Stupid is as stupid does. God protect the idiots and fools that on a daily basis injury and kill one another and others. People like the ones in this video make amateur's look like professionals! easy-lift guy
  9. Chalk up another one for Mans best friend. easy-lift guy
  10. Reads like you covered your self, other opinions vary. easy-lift guy
  11. Reads like your TO was the last to render an official opinion. The client has to make up his mind. I would say that if an accident does occure and the client did nothing to reasonably prevent said accident he would be at fault. At least I believe that is how it would play out over here based on your story line. easy-lift guy
  12. Looks like nature got the better of them. With all the reports of rain, could the trees be a victim of wet feet?. easy-lift guy
  13. Squatters rights comes to mind. I believe Treequip has provided you with sound council. easy-lift guy
  14. My 94' V-6 still my daily drive at 333K Miles, Original drive chain/ transmission. Things do wear out over time. I too would have the clutch done at the same time transmission is replaced. easy-lift guy
  15. Matty, like anyone else you have to learn to pace yourself and if need be hirer a temp. To handle the paperwork and office affairs for you to give you and the wife a break. Life is stressful enough. Business, personel life is a constant balance. Finding that balance and maintaing your health and well being is the key. easy-lift guy
  16. GardenKit, you did the right thing and explained your reasoning completely. Playing One Dealer against another for the sake of price is to be expected. You are in business to sell products at a reasonable cost and service what you sell after the sale. SOP. Your reply among others were some of the points I was attempting to make to the OP of this thread. All the best. easy-lift guy
  17. Perhaps you should sit down and add up all of the cost associated with running a profitable retail business. I believe you would be sadly enlighten or still confused about the cost of conducting business and earning a profit on what is sold. The fact that someone can purchase product some where else "seeming cheaper" is in fact a fallacy. I have had customers attempt to purchase my product from my web-site only to find out that they will be redirected to their nearest dealer. I will not sell direct since this is against company policy where a dealer already exist. No manufacturer is giving anything away any where. Please look up the phrase, "economies of scale" you may understand what other members have been trying to explain to you. easy-lift guy
  18. I believe the pricing difference can be based on Two things for starters. First the shear Volume of dealers and product actively being sold year round in this country is very large. The customers are only willing to pay a certain amount and the manufacturers know that. The Second reason is the fact that the exchange rate favors buyers of product from the UK within US markets. My 2 cents anyway. easy-lift guy
  19. Greetings and Welcome from the Sunshine State. easy-lift guy
  20. I believe the English language as spoken by many Americans has devolved into many meaningless phrases and made up words. I find in public most people under 25 texting away with one another about god knows what, yet when one ask the same persons to explain what they mean about a topic of discussion the response will vary from "say what " or perhaps another favorite would be " I have no clue". At least the latter response is honest for what it's worth. Very scary to think technology has caused this collapses of the spoken word. I especially note this when I talk to people on the phone. Some people I have spoke to really have a difficult time expressing themselfs during a simple conversation. Funny how I can think back to the scene from the movie Airplane where the airline stewardess is trying to communicate with One of the passengers and Barbara Billingsly from Leave it to Beaver not only speaks Jive but has the final say leaving the Two passengers wondering what just happened!. easy-lift guy
  21. How do you feel about a Rick?. I don't like the Rick. I like the Cord better. Would split round wood stacked at an angle could it be considered Cord wood? easy-lift guy
  22. I have always sold cord wood by either the half or full cord. As Steve mentioned earlier A cord measures 4x4x8. Most customers wanted the length of their cord wood either 18" to 24" in length. I never sold a face cord since it seemed silly to offer such a small amount at any price. Now I have had customers want to buy a Rick from me and I would tell them the same as a face cord, don't sell that quantity please don't ask. Keep cutting and splitting, Long live the Cord! easy-lift guy
  23. Really good news. Make sure you document any and all corespondents with this firm for future reference. I am sure history will not repeat it's self again as long as you do your due diligence. easy-lift guy
  24. I agree. Make sure what ever the out come get your final and all business in the form of a purchase order or work order only. You will overcome this one way or another:thumbup1: easy-lift guy
  25. Reads like your looking to be set up as a dealer or distributor:sneaky2: Nice looking machine none the less. easy-lift guy
