  2. Eh thats yours, is that not the one your mrs bought you a couple of months back, when you told her you was taking her on a over seas holiday and took her to Holly island for the day and waited for the tide to come in so you could say it was over seas,?????
  3. No beans where out of tin full price, but made em last 3 nights,,, and what you mean tight ?

  5. No but i think its something i need to start planing and have a look at as we dont know whats round the corner, not really thinking of going any where just yet but who knows, there has been 2 or 3 people i know of late that have passed away, 2 in there later 40s and one in her early 50s so its may be time to get some thing in place,
  6. cheese on toast with wostershire lea & perrins and beens on top, quick easy and cheap,
  7. They all ways say one in one out and a very spooky thing in our family in febuary, one of my daughters rang me to say that her sister had just had a little boy @ 17.05, when i got home my uncle rang to say my aunt had taken a turn for the worse, 10am morning after my aunt had passed away so one in one out within 24 hrs and then on the day of the funeral one of my daughters did not attend and then annouced later in the day that she had been in hospital having a scan and she was expecting,
  8. What do you class as a large bar thou ? my thoughts are 661 is a proven saw been out there several years now and i dont hear many complaints about them, will run a 36" bar and proberbly a bit more robust than a 500i ? Guy who works with me had a go with a 500i last week end at a collage open day and said it was a very impressive saw and was up for buying one, till he took the airfillter cover off and saw all the wireing, he then suddenly changed his mind and said he just saw problems ahead, Ok its got a very good write up and has been out in europe for a while but for me it would be 661 all the way,
  9. Bit like your brush handle ?? just keep playing with your spanners and dont put yourself in the toolbox when you put them away ??????
  10. summer special just for you £249.99 for one week only !!!!
  11. your not wrong with that we have about 70 tonne of good beech and sycamore that we are trying to sell direct from site in approx 4 - 4,5 tonne loads, its 2,5 mtr straight and diameter from 4" - 24"get about 3 - 8 enquirys per day buy sales are near on zero, and the stuppied questions i get asked is unreal, the load will make approx 14 bulk bags when cut n split and we are asking £250 a load plus a bit of delivery cost its not expensive, is it ? it works out at under £20 a bag,
  12. hi just south of lancaster got some sitka spruce logs that would suit that project,,
  13. Cant believe what i have just read above, i am total opposite mad busy doing 12 -14 hr days 6 or 7 days a week, finishing off on a beech clear fell at the moment about 2 - 3 wk left on that, got several arb jobs to get in some where then straight on to a small thinning job, then some windblown to sort out and then 2 hardwood thinnings to start oct/nov through till april may 2020 then a few small soft wood clear fells to do and several enquires to go and look at arb and forestry jobs in next wk or 2, but i am starting to see a slow up in timber sales,
  14. thats where i would put my money on the Brexit thing, but if Mr Gove gets the coke deal with Columbia sorted money will not be a problem for any one of us ??????
  15. Bought of a farm we shoot on about 12 years ago £300 was the price pushed it up 2 planks in to a trailer on my own with 4 flat tyres, closest i have ever been to a heart attack, put a new battery on it blew tyres up and nothing since, been fantastic bit of kit for us saves a lot of leg work and earned its keep over and over again, moved tens of tonnes of timber with it and gets us to jobs that are nearly in the clouds, Ok its not moved for over 12 months but its there if needed,
  16. simon archer from southport his mane on here is woodwise very good at what he does, or it could be wisewood ? its one of them,
  17. i know these work but f - - - - - g expensive Michelins,
  18. finishing off on that beech clearfell at the moment and the amount of young squirels about is unreal there seems to be more every week counted 11 yesterday crossing the track while we had lunch,
  19. lodgepole makes good firewood but is heavey and it dont last long once felled takes blue stain on in very little time, and reason why its cheap is that no one else wants it, no good for external use as it wont take perservative in to it,
  20. lorry will be full to top of bolster pins and will be sub 20 tonne thats why they are selling by the cube, to me that is a steel at that price rip his arm off, 3 year felled will be sub 20% moisture so no waiting cut split sell money back straight away, lorry below 19180kgs on and could not get any more on,
  21. seems low hp on pto i would expect a 15-20% drop from engine to pto but not nearlly 50%, but if your tractor has done a bit it may be a bit tired and engine hp is down and that may explain the low pto hp,
  22. motor bike or moped front tyre by far better and easier than any thing else,
  23. Dont you be giving any secrets away ? cuddle !, all ready been asked to go for a walk in the woods by some one else on here tonight ??? is it some thing to do with the sunshine today ?
  24. Chris or should we say cwis packham is the biggest hipporcyt on this planet, all the upset he has just caused with regards to the general licence and the controll of vermin and then when he appeared on gmtv all he could say was, fake news, what a f ing arsehole and then when he had recieved death threats his next statement was that he strongly backed the culling of dear! was this just to get back on side a bit and ease the anger, and has for her, well will show my age now she was with Pete Waterman on a show called the hitman and her, she looked ok back then but a bit rough now and yes quite annoying with it, not watched since Bill oddie went and never will if that arsehole cwis is on it, sore subject this one,
  25. This is one thing i just cant work out, companys are selling chip wood in log form for around £45-£55 a tonne depending on it being hard/w or soft/w its then got to be loaded transported then unloaded and then chipped but for arb wast chip£12-£14 a tonne still got to be loaded and unloaded but no chipping process to go through and they pay jack shit for it ? some one some where is making some good money out of this game, and it aint the bloke who is supplying it ?.
