  1. never done it but i could imagine it being a nightmare with DVLA and insurance, just buy one thats ready to go, cutting and chopping is a lot of work/time and at the end of it you might have a vehicle thats not of any use to you, Land cruiser pick up ? Hilux surf pick up is there such a vehicle that would crop up on a insurance brokers list ?
  2. Is this of the DVLA website, ? as i have spent many hours on there looking for something that relates to AG weight ! Reason why, i have a vehicle which is plated at total gross wieght of 11200kgs with a tare weight of 6250kgs, but the said vehicle is now AG registered so is the gross weight plate now void ? I realise that this is a very grey area but its something i cant find much info on,
  3. try 07 not 08
  4. HMRC will look very carefully at all claims and those who have not played by the rules will be made to pay it back with a bit more besides, i for one will not be bothering with any grants loans etc as for what i would get would not be worth the hasell, looked in to universal credit the other wk and that seemed to be far better and eaiser to do and it will all so allow you to work a bit, as long as you declare it ??, i tend to think the SE have been shit on from a great hieght this time, but if you have been SE for longer than 3 yrs and have made plenty you will be ok, but for those who are either just starting or are on seasonal work and dont make much they dont have much option but sign on and make what you can of it, one thing i can see happening is that more SE like plumbers, sparkies garden maitainance will be asking for more cash payments, but thats where the government have pushed em to, we all need a SE self help fund tucked away some where, Some of us have been in simular hard finanacial times before with no government help but this time there is help if you are prepared to seek it out so for the younger generations just think yourself very lucky, I for one was pottless back in the mid 80s interest rates at 18% working 1-2 days a week really struggled to make ends meet and if it was not for fishing and shooting, meat on the dinner plate would of been once or twice a week,
  5. There is a company in Southport Lancashire Called Glassplies i have dealt with them for over 30 yrs all ways helpful and they supply about every resin on the planet in both large and small amounts they have a website and do mail order, Hope this helps,
  6. Yes and thats near on 30 years ago, and if any body thinks its going to be a walk in the park to day and be so easy, well it ain,t the person in question will have some serious questions to answer and believe it or not HMRC will know the answer before the question is asked but you will get your chancem but you will have to have a fantastic memory and be very cleaver to avoid any penaltys, good luck,
  7. Dont think this will be as easy as every one says ? but i could be wrong, no NI payments for 10 yrs, no record of a fixed address, not on any polling register, first thing there going to ask is where have you been ? when did you get back ? was you earning where ever you where ? i think all this will be very hard to explain and get a way with, as most if not all government departments are all linked together and in this day and age it will not take long to find out, and if he said he had been over seas they could ask the same questions else where ! if he said he flew in, sailed in or came on train through the tunnel his name will be allocated to a seat or some thing, i think this needs some very careful thought and may be some sound addvise from some one who knows and deals with issues like this, i think one big can of worms and one massive headache, and if he is not careful a estimated tax bill could be dropping through the letter box, one small step at a time with this and plenty of thought, Good luck,
  8. That will more than likely be rotten/hollow it dont look a big tree ! but it looks in bad shape!! there probably just cankers, we did one in late oct and i was going to ring you but tree was not worth the effort to even try and move so it stayed where it fell,
  9. Sometimes you have to addmitt defeat ! i know where you are with this as i am working on a solution for the exact same thing myself at the moment, its not easy and its not cheap to work out which is the easy or even a reasonable solution to this problem, but unfortunatly some stems will have to be ringed up as it would be just so un economic to try and remove, i have had nightmares about some timber that i have seen ringed up for firewood over the years and it has been some top notch stuff, if tour thinking of moving a 8.8 tonne stem you must have means to transport as 8.8 tonne is a big stick, We cant save every thing and we have to let some go, watched a video on youtube a couple of wk ago where a bloke was putting pippy oak stems in to a big chipper, and filling arctics up with chip, stems probably 20-30", thats a criminal offence in my book,,
  10. Thats not social distancing !!! Borris will have you,

  13. Hi Mine was up for renewal on 17th march with Treesurgeon insurance, now taking in to consideration we dont do arb work, ours is with in commercial forestry so the sites we work are in the middle of no where, they increased there handling charge from £50 to £125 this year and that was in the small print hardly any one can see, then put about £60 on the price which took total cost up to just shy of £500, when i first went with then 5 yr ago cover was £192 for our work so its a big increase really, then on the last day of cover i got 3 emails and 3 Texts with YOU MUST PAY NOW in the text ,which i take offence to as its trying to pressure you in to paying !!

Its not quite all the way away from Covid-19, but who would you like to end up with on a tropical island for the rest of your day,s, it can be male or female and it dont matter if your on the other bus as i think we can all accept that in 2020, 3 choices on this with your most desired being at the number one spot, could be interesting with the different age groups on here and a bit of light hearted banter to cushion the blow some of us are expierancing,!!! 1, Sheryl Crow 2, Kylie Minouge 3, Amanda Holden
  18. Hi i have had several flyers through my letterbox of late, not many last week but week before 4 or 5 a day all from local small firms and i have just picked em up with a litter picker and put straight in the wheelie bin, and if and when we get through Covid-19 and we get the go ahead we will all be knee deep in flyers through the letter box every day,

  22. Hi Sitka spruce and it should not be a problem at all at the moment, they seem to stand well on there own like that and as J said should be ok for next decade at least and dont all trees sway in the wind !, Then as Matty says that Ash is a much bigger issue, in my eyes the Ash has die back and when they get this the timber becomes very very brittle, its your neighbours tree that is more of a issue, ask them to get a report on there Ash and split the cost between you,
  23. You asking for a friend ???????
