  1. Most people in the private sector are bussy trying to earn a living to to keep up with more regs and red tape:001_rolleyes:
  2. So then if this guy has already 50 convictions and is still on the street and a threat to other people. is the law working? A man that has built a life in the uk and a business may well lose all of that (god knows its hard work building a business) because nobody else was able to deal with this intruder in the past. After 50 convictions. Evey one of us has the capacity for violence you Just need the right trigger threatening my children with a knife might well do it for me and once you have started you are not going to stop easly.
  3. Timberwolfs do eat conifer well. It has to be said the roller system dose work better than the bandit.
  4. I bought the bandit 65 XP it has to be sharp and the bed knife really close to the blade to chip coniffer other wise it realy dosent like it....... But while it was on order they lent me a big farmi to go on the tracter. That had the fly wheel at an angle ie not at 90 degrees. We set it up put some big off shoots from the mill through it and it made a nice job of it so of we went to the job. Put coniffer in it and drove it straight home left it in the barn where it still stands 3 months later my supplyer hasnt even bothered to come and pick it up may be its the farmi but I would never look at anything with that of set flywheel again.
  5. Yes but the law is an ass LOL
  6. It is proverbial or expression I think came from Charles Dickens and the ass being referred to is the Donkey haveing a reputation for obstinance and stupidity. It is the stupidly rigid application of the law that this phrase calls into question
  7. Yes but the law is an Ass
  8. You are going to rib me for saying it but isnt this what the americans call collateril damage? I worked for a company that won a tender for a london bourough 2 or 3 million pounds half way through the year they said no tree work in nesting season from that day on the fate of 30 stafe was sealed and the contract was droped. I understand the need for conservation and oviously if you have owls in a tree than thats a diffrent mater but do we realy need to stop every thing because a couple of middle class house wives with 2 flying hollidays a year a four wheel drive and 2 much time on there hands get the hump because a couple of pigeions get removed from there nest.

    festivals!

Well I got the spelling a bit wrong :biggrin:but it was a good old fashon Fest glad some else remembers it. I remember 2 big old beach trees at the bottem with a gate under it you could buy all sorts of things there.
  10. Have had the same problem with the TW and have always heated the bolts up with a blow torch. As Tom D says I think the heat has a lot to do with cracking the grip the bolts have on the blade and rota. PS I have the tw 125 and a bandit 65. They are both very different. The TW is cheep will go any where in a garden tows easy but fragile and going to get petrol every other day pess me off but I wont get rid of it though it just to usefull for all its faults.
  11. Holed a plastic tracter fuel tank once, they mended it with a pice of black plastic pipe and a soldering iron melting the plastic of both the tank and plastic pipe. Apparently I wasnt the first.
  12. Over here the only ones that are having a buget that is increasing and by the way still asking for more are the europe ministry in Brustals and these are the ones that are so far removed from reality that the think wood is dangerous and require a licence to transport wood chip
  13. Whats he going to get done for trying to earn a living the honesty way (hard graft).
  14. AND WE ARE PAYING SOMEONE to come up with great ideas like that. I mean why:confused1:
  15. I quoted for a job the quote signed turned up and the job was done the farmer had done it (she complaned about the farmer I think he got Knocked) Then she didnt stop ringing could I fell the trees the farmer had reduce. So I dubbled the price and asked for 50% upfront she payed the deposit and yes she knocked me for the rest. They are out there
  16. If their not willing to pay a deposit how willing are they going to be to pay up after the job us done. I like to see the colour of they money even if its a little deposit I think it shows confidence in you and your work and proves that they are serious.
  17. Why is everyone over ther singing USA USA USA USA USA USA USA USA ISA USA USA on the Tv reports. Has someone just scored a goal.
  18. Will this stop the top roller jamming. The new lower roller seems to be fine and dosnt really block up. Am just going out to look at the stops now.
  19. So it was Pakistan that was hiding him! Naughty Naughty
  20. I got the peterson ATS. It costs more than 5000 dose most things and with the chainsaw head can do wide boards or doble cut which the lucas wont do. I mill timber for myself and a little for clients. Its not really that that viable for a client but for me it works well. The advantages are that you dont need hydrolics and an edging machine. Never used a band mill but ONCE SET UP it is nice and quick. You need to ring the guy in devon he was lots of help to me Graham Mitchle.
  21. Ha Ha Well I know I'm not William Blake
  22. What a load of balls

  24. I got the 65 xl or XP Dont know what the diffrance between the XL and XP is. Ive had it for about 2 months Rollers block a lot with coniffer and dead wood but well priced for the chipper you get
  25. Well I got that exact grinder for sharpening wood chisles but never thought of using it for chipper blades. Must take a long time to sharpen though. Have you done chipper blades on it.
