  1. so where is it now?
  2. We did. I'm not a moderator but that thread was flying pretty close to the edge of what is and isn't allowed. I expect that means that a Mod has to be monitoring it and as that was a very fast moving thread it was probably consuming Bullman's Saturday. Shame as it was just getting fun, having said that, my blood pressure was rising after I put that first photo up.
  3. Good idea Alex. I won't have much to offer except 'get a Mac' but this could be a useful thread for me as although I love tech and gadgets, I'm a tech numpty. Just ask Butch on Treehouse and Bullman how many times i've requested my password!
  4. Why bother getting off Arbtalk, you obviously have NOT read anything on here in the last year. Not so long ago Silky Fox had no job, bills to pay and £1 in his pocket. £1!! Now look where he is. Some people will say that's luck and timing but actually it's because he kept trying and when he'd done that, guess what, he tried more. I've never met Silky but its pretty obvious that his system works. Did James Caan or Alan Sugar get where they are by moaning online to strangers? NO!
  5. I know a guy who knows a guy who's mate could delete him. Only cost £500, no questions, no mess. 😂😱
  6. Uhghh. That photo made me feel so old!
  7. Haha. I was on the GoPro website last night and just got back from a shop to have a look. Money still in pocket though as I can't figure out which package to get. PM sent to Flatters though!
  8. Ah, just read to the bottom. eBay.
  9. Where do you get that stuff from?
  10. Thats a good price and the 29" with dual wheels would be more appealing to me. What is the weight and length? Thanks.
  11. Obviously it's one of the following reasons: 1. He's realised he's too good for us. 2. He's realised we're too good for him. 3. His wife has given him an ultimatum; "It's me or the Arbtalk!". Seriously though, why would he want deletion? Can't he just not visit again?
  12. :blushing: Anyway, looking forward to the new release as I'll defo buy it.
  13. Ok, so I just checked if I was logged on. What's it to ya?!😜 I'm such a dumbarse!
  14. Having just watched the latest video I'm now seriously interested in this. I've been reading the threads on all forums with mild interest but seeing it in action on SRT and DRT has swung it for me. I've enjoyed using a ZK1 and I'm loving my HH but I've felt more comfortable on mechanical devices. When will I be able to get one of these on my rope?
  15. I'll go and try it now.
  16. Hi again Wrights. An apprenticeship is the way to go. Try to get into a firm that is small enough to allow you to get some proper experience. In a big company you could spend months washing trucks and feeding the chipper. Also remember that an apprenticeship in Arb takes years even after the course has officially finished. Finishing a course doesn't qualify you as an expert and an ego is very destructive in a team job. Keep persevering and all will come good for you.
  17. Exactly my first thoughts when I compile reports for these reasons. It's a can of worms for anyone without the correct knowledge. Best advice to the OP, regardless of your involvement in this, make sure you are legally insulated before you say anything verbally or in writing.
  18. I would not bend it. no no no. It's not an issue if you're rope can't fit through the clip as you will always be installing it or uninstalling it at the end of your rope. Just feed the spliced eye easily through the clip. Bingo:thumbup1:
  19. No. I can't add posts or reply to posts or start a new topic. Also, will we be able to upload unlimited photos on it?
  20. No I don;t understand that either Adam, sorry. I think what you were originally getting at is if your climb line is draped down the trunk you have the feeling of being pulled against the trunk. What Ewan suggested by throwing your throwline again is that it could pass over a fork on it's way up. Then you have the benefit of a mid air ascent. Much less labour intensive.
  21. Steve, will the Arbtalk app work better on the iPad? Will we be able to reply to posts etc on it?
  22. January to April have been dire months for me, last four years. Expenses seem to hit an all time high for some reason. I'd know why if I bothered to pay more attention though.
  23. For the effort that it saves you it's money very well spent. Compare it to dragging brush all day or stacking it on a Stein Trolley. After six months it's worth it's weight in gold!
