    Yes, that's my point. It's beautiful not to see one. As an experiment I dismantled a medium sized Cypress a few weeks ago using a prusik. It was hell and I'll never be that stupid again!😂😂

    A year ago I changed from 13mm XTC to Poison Hivee in a Lockjack and the thinner rope transformed the LJ. It would be the same with the SJ of course.

    :001_smile:Ok so I've adjusted it properly and it now sits lower on my head. It was on the highest setting. I've also measured it because loads of people say it looks to big and will get snagged on branches. The Petzl Vertex Vent with Husqvarna muffs is 27cm wide when on the head with muffs in. The Protos is 32cm wide. Protos is smaller overall then:thumbup1:.

    I have not used either but I'd choose the ART Positioner. Less sensitive to wet so it's more predictable.

    A Petzl Vertex measures about the same externally as the Protos. The difference being the Protos is measured across the helmet, the Petzl is measured across the ear muffs.

    Yeah, I don't think school will work out for me so I've decided not to bother. I'm four now, by the time I'm eight I'll have 10 adults working for me and by the time I'm fourteen I'll have my first Ferrari.

    I bought it from a shop called Poelbosbouw in Holland. Including shipping and tax it cost the same as it will retail for here. Lars Rodrigues was extremely helpful and provided an excellent service, even phoning me on New Years Eve to give tips on how to adjust it. I feel bad not to have waited and bought one from a British retailer but my Petzl was very old and damaged so I was a bit naughty using it for work. It comes with very detailed instructions and it seems important to follow these, which goes against the grain for me. I can't say much about it at the moment as I haven't climbed in it. I don't care what it looks like so I'm not interested in wasted posts about Power Rangers:001_tt2: I'm interested in comfort and safety features and a trawl through the Protos website reveals a startling amount of detail regarding safety features. Anyway, feels really comfy so I like it.

    ....all the fungi that I had been stripped off the dieing trees using a Billhook that I stole from Crazy Cutters back door a few nights ago. The fried fungi was garnished with rocket and ketchup, everyone felt reinvigorated by such a hearty meal. At this point Bolam declared the only reason for breakfast is to line the stomach so he produced a case of Stella and passed it all around. Now things started to get messy and there were concerns for personal safety so Honey Brothers produced free and every Arbtalker in the land was delighted.

    Haha, the second half of that sounds like you wrote it about me! I did a bit of work on a small Yew tree today and thought it would be easier to use DdRT. I completed 50% of the job then switched to SRTWP, I was using my Hitch Hiker so it took 30 seconds to switch. It was a surprise and a relief to discover how much easier it was. I can only surmise that my previous small tree DdRT jobs on the RW and HH were easier because I was still finding my way with Single Rope. Having climbed with a Lockjack for so many years I never expected to become an SRT god overnight but I'm so glad I persevered. This is just my opinion and what works best for me, before anyone starts arguing.
