  1. If anyone is interested in doing the dmq level 1, I'll post you my copy of the training manual to have a look at at long as I get it back. Good course, well worth doing. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  2. Funny how many minutes of stoppage time were added to that game ! Me thinks it would of gone on and on until city scored. I'm a palace fan by the way. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  6. I had a problem with a kohler engine a few years back, thought it wasn't charging the battery but if fact it had cooked it. Put a new one on and it done the same and it turned out to be the voltage regulator. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  7. A chainsaw dealer friend was on a husky training day 2 weeks back and he was told at the earliest May but more like September ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  8. Hi haljam, I agree with glen 100% and if you feel you have got to reduce them that hard to keep them safe then maybe wrong tree in the wrong place. Where in west Wales are you ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  9. Have a look at the difference in price, you get what you pay for. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. Fitted a new throttle cable to a stihl ms441 this evening. The new cable comes with a new bracket that requires the fuel tank housing to be changed. Bit of a pig but got there in the end. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Thanks Rover, now I feel a real idiot ! Please let someone else not know what IIRC meant ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. Sorry I must be having a real dull moment, what does IIRC mean ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  13. What's the IIRC ? I've got a cscs already so will I have to upgrade to this from September ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. Stretch air every time. I don't think there is a better, longer lasting trouser. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. The finished reductions look good boys, where are they located out of interest ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. I've had it in my right arm for about 3 months, trying a strap on it and it seems to be getting better. Like mentioned before, it gives me some pain at night when in bed, I wonder why ? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Unfortunately had the same happen to me. Took EDF nearly 6 months to bill me, hit street lighting cable that was only 100mm below the surface. I done the same with pictures and i said it was meant to be 450 mm and they said that could not be held responsible for where their services are after once they have been buried. Around the £300 mark if I remember right ! Sorry Pat. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. Over here on the west coast we don't have the same problems with things going missing as people seem to do in the rest of the UK. The odd thing does disappear but it it's not half as bad. I still wouldn't leave a chipper / chainsaw in a layby and leave site though. When I lived in southeast England, if it wasn't bolted down it would be gone ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. In life, from time to time we all think we know best and all think we're the hardest workers going and the arb/forestry world is quite a macho Place. Put all these things together and throw a online forum into the mix your gonna get a few unhappy campers now and then ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Get the details of fishing clubs or lakes around your way and ask if they want any chip. I used to have to have a few places where I could tip for free when I lived down that way. Theres lots of lake in the darenth valley and around snodland. Sorry but I haven't got the numbers anymore.
  21. Hi, We use them for crane work, climber and groundie have ear piece and the crane driver just has a Walkie talky on the same channel in his cab. Cost a few quid but well worth it, useful when carrying out a normal dismantle near a busy road etc
  22. Very funny, even the missus laughed when I showed her. I think you may of had the 'block' a little to low from the point of cut, thus having the section of wood fall to far before being slowed / lowered. All jokes aside, training providers need to pull their socks now your on the scene ! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Hi spicey, Welcome to arbtalk, seeing hadlow brought back some memories. I done my chainsaw Certs there 20 years back.
  24. Thought I'd ask here instead of starting a new thread. I'm after a moderator for my .243, any recommendations on a make ?
  25. Ouch, hope the opp goes ok. You live and learn !
