  1. I broke got two e2e hitch cord's tested, first break was 1980kg second break was 2310kg Both e2e were spliced using class 1 double braid splice

  4. It does look nice though, liking the 10mm sirius! Did he stitch the two sides of the eye to keep them together, or do you just let the 8mm sirius prussic hold the eye together?

  12. Thanks interesting, 5016 lbs (pounds?) that's 2.27 tonne isn't it? Average break strength for 8mm bee line 3.6 tonne (approx) So... from the splice the rope lost just over 1 tonne, 2.27 tonne still a good break though. Its interesting breaking splices, I find usually, that the rope breaks at the bend, not necessarily from the splice pulling out... would've been interesting to watch it... guess I'll just have to wait to watch mine:001_tt2:
  13. yes ive never really been a big fan of exposed eye's.. got a heap of bee line to splice up ill post some more pic's when there done, will also try and get a few break tested to see were they break at
  14. Thanks guys, yes bee line is class one double braid. Yes it usually is spliced with locking brummel but I had nothing to dip eye's in so decided to do class one DB splice. Seems to work well. Here's a link to treetools Bee Line pre-spliced prusik

  17. Ride that hook all day long mate! was more efficient and productive for both the climber and the company, recently done a load of crane work, riding the hook made it worth while Nice pics! keep up the good work ... thought I'd just put my 2 cents worth in
