  1. .....for 100% time bomb of doom!
  2. Think I'd use a Humboldt for a better hinge. You wouldn't want it going on a red light.
  3. Aye. Easy enough to weld up a frame and bolt it to trailer. You could put it smack in middle of trailer.
  4. Aye something like this.
  5. I'm pondering what I can achieve with an engine hoist.
  6. Glad my thirteen year old is getting off the computer more and using his hands for proper stuff! Nice unique gift.
  7. I listened to him eff and blind at Pope when Pope visited Edinburgh. Shocking at the time. Still shocking now.
  8. Both look a little flimsy tbh. An Ifor Williams p7e with mesh side option far more robust. It's also got a decent tailgate for wheeled implements.
  9. Great line!

  11. You reckon it seasons well in lengths?
  12. That's an impressive grant. Any more details? Seems its put others out of work?
  13. I'm enjoying my r tech 180. Great invertor machine. Does mug, arc and tig. 30 to 200 amp off 16 amp supply. Does everything I need and more.
  14. The market would tend to agree with Mr Churchill!
  15. That's the free market in action. Competition is healthy. That's why I'm no fan of 'the market'. Dave
  16. Blimey folk get carried away!
  17. Prices of the bits I wanted got silly when buyer's premium ave VAT added.
  18. Sadly not everyone's chimney is in as fine a state as yours. Friends can't sell their house at the moment as tar has leaked through the chimney breast onto an upstairs bedroom wall. Surveyor's report highlighted the dangers of gas etc. They're looking into lining but they fear they'll need to knock chimney down and rebuild to satisfy future surveys. Dave Ps they didn't buy my logs!
  19. Type of chimney will have an affect as well as wood. Throw hot gasses out into an unlined chimney and the cold stone will cause the gasses to condense onto the surface. A liner warms up and prevents it. An insulated liner even less condensation. Dave
  20. Here's me with 3ph not needing it! It's a pain to me as I've it into the farm house so three meters and difficulty changing suppliers.
  21. Good info. Thanks.
  22. Do you dry the beams before building?
  23. I've been stopped for this. I drive a Trafic passenger with 8 seats and driver. It's classed as an mpv as no more than 8 passengers. I was stopped doing 58 on an A road as a van. I thought fair cop and was taking their advice when they started debating between themselves. They couldn't decide if I was speeding or not! Dave
  24. Thought rhi need certified sustainably sourced wood now.....our at least soon.
  25. Points well made. Decision not made!
