  1. Had this now for 12 years so contacts are My only option. I have gas permiable glass contacts and they hurt like hell if I get dust inbetween them and My eye. Keratoconus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia One contact is made here in England the other in Germany and last 18 months unless I loose them or they get scratched. Only ever wanted to go into the Parachute regiment but the eye condition ruled that out as an option :thumbdown:
  2. I dred to think what would happen if the climber disturbed a wasp's nest I have struggled over the years to find a groundy that doesnt put chain oil in the fuel tank or send up the silky when you asked for the 066 The only hand signal I use are ......... Pointing at My eye for watch Me Tap on the Hard hat for heads up And tweak My nipple with my thumb and finger for Milk and 2 sugars
  3. You got to be joking Matt ?
  4. Maybe you just need one signal that tells the groundies to send you up another battery for the comms set
  5. Dont worry about it! just make sure you make refrence to it in your invoice so they cant say you did'nt warn them if it falls over in the future
  6. 130ft long maybe but 130ft high
  7. My spelling has improved since I started posting on forums I find spell check helps by picking out the mistakes but I've never been able to find it on the forum posting format
  8. I recon that bloke got taught to walk by the same bloke as My groundy Only My groundy would take twice the time to cover that distance
  9. Has Arbtalk got spell check ?
  10. Made Me laugh TomTom GO 700 Automotive GPS Receiver | eBay
  11. Did someone call ME I was one of the members that said they could make an arb trolley for a fraction of the cost I sat down and poured over the videos on youtube and the pictures on the forum of the Arb trolley and after doing the sums went and bought the real thing, and its been well worth it . If anybody managed to make a lookalike Easy lift harness and it was even half as good as the original they would probably also have enough brains to do the sums "As I did" and work out that the depreciaton on the investment was less than the ammount It would cost in time, effort and materials to try and replicate the design. I was working on site a while back and a couple of houses up were having there hedge cut, the guy using the hedge trimmer was obscured from vision by a cloud of blue smoke from an incorrect fuel oil mix . I could have said nothing but instead I gave him a bottle of husky low smoke, I also told him about Aspen . My reason for doing this was'nt because I hoped to gain in anyway, it was because the job we do is hard enough and anything that helps make it easier is worth sharing.
  12. Where in the country are you ?

  13. He's happy, in work, with a nice setup. As long as nobody gets hurt then good on Him:thumbup1: I aint saying anymore on the subject
  14. Buy a new bench grinder and leave the carborundom wheel on one side to grind the steel of the finger and put the green grit on the other side for the tungsten. If you set the angle of the bed for the steel and then set the angle of the bed for the tip so that the carborundom grinds the steel and the green grit just grinds the tungsten then the wheel will last ages. Ill post a picture tmr The diamond discs are good to touch up the teeth on site but you'll never make a proper job with them IMO I have a diamond disc but its difficult to get the angles correct.
  15. Bought a 025 from My Nephew for £20 it had been in his container since it was stripped by a local agricultural plant dealer and condemed by them to the scrap bin because the piston was worn. I bolted the exhaust back on, bought a new plug and drained the old fuel out that was 5 years old and she fired up after a few pulls. After running fine for a minute or 2 it started belching out smoke from the clutch housing. This is what I found was causing the trouble in the first place £15 later and she runs as sweet as a nut
  16. Why is the chap in picture 10 wearing spikes ? Do the AA except a climber using spikes when the tree is to be retained ? Not looking for a punch up just thought you might be able to give Me an answer that I can use if I ever get caught climbing with spikes whilst doing a reduction

  21. Yes the pulley advances the prussic and saves you having to hold the running end of the rope with one hand while you slide the prussic up. If you climb and make your rope slack then you take up the slack (tend) which is what the pulley does hence it being called a slack tender. If Im out by a margine then any Members please feel free to correct Me
  22. Slack tending looks easier with vt set up Rich
