  14. Heres a thread I started a while back http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/25574-sweet-dreams.html
  15. Cheers for your comments Guys Starting to fine tune the business and one of the things that has bugged me over the years has been hunting round the cab for a screw driver or combi spanner to probe a rot pocket or trace the size of the burr when pricing stump jobs,I also welded a hammer head to the other end of the T handle for sounding butts and tacking tree ident numbers on without having to carry steps around
  16. Always have a bog role in the cab . If it seems to good to be true then it nearly always is. When you quote a job and the customers say they will keep you going with tea still take a flask Dont do out for nowt! The little "while your here" unpaid jobs mount up and can mean you work a day a month FOC . Put family first Remember your kids end up choosing your nursing home .
  17. Best vid on AT atm
  18. I struggle to upload to anything other than the flag ship Arbtalk Even If I dont qualify for the free spout I wont pass up on the chance to praise a product that has helped transform the working conditions for myself and the lads. Well done on a great product
  19. After years of using sticks or a combi spanner to probe trees and track roots I got round to making a tool up. I doubt I need to explain what I have done to the stop cock key I bought this morning for £4, but what probably wont show up are the marks at 1 inch intervals and the sharpened edge on the T handle for bark marking
  20. Depends how many pallets you put on the bed first
  21. I have a 200 and I wont part with it but will normally have the 250 sent up to chog down small stems
  22. I found climbing boots to be to hot in the summer, to heavy, they were so thick soled that i tended to break draw shoots and the grippy soles just made a mess of lawns
  23. Two quick questions 1 Have you written a reply to this thread and decided to not post it ? 2 Would spell check improve the site ?
  24. Got asked to remove the Lime because of various reasons but managed to convince the owner to remove the lower epi and give it a year before they condemed it to the wood pile. They have since decided to retain the tree Maple was a general tidy up after years of having every Dick Tom and Harry carving it up, shame I forgot the camera for the before shot:001_rolleyes:
