  1. There still cutting as much as ever but have vast amounts hanging around the price of hardwood cord is dropping slowly soft wood going up. It will even out oil will not remain low for long it's just all fallen wrong for us this season
  2. Aviva £675we got the 3 l rodeo with over drive on it so it the most expensive of the bunch to install any driver over 21 on comercial LV are also very good we have our Vw caravel with them any driver £800 We get ours through a broker so there's some one to shout at face to face if there's a problem
  3. 14 inch through the 8 way make chunky logs 15 to 16 inch through the 12 makes regular logs but going through a window knife it has to be union free
  4. My tajfun kept sharp will out preform all the other circular machines in it's class look up tajfun 420 joy on youtube most if the videos don't do it justice but you will see what I mean
  5. It's rally hard to give advice on things like depression men don't like talking about it. Use to find myself telling the barmaid in the pub more than my missus funnily enough she now is my mrs. Up until last October I thought i had been to some dark places with loosing a baby and attending many funerals of lads that went before there time. Then bang my boy had his accident you a motion go numb when you see little kids on deaths door or even through it. I use to suffer from depression but in the last 6 months I've learned to put it to one side and be thankfully for my health and that my boy although disabled is happy. Medication for some will work it will take time to find the right one and the right dose. Better to find what the cause is and deal with that if possible. I wear my hart on my sleeve and don't really care what otters think so it bothers me very little if people judge me for posting on this topic.
  6. Yes I've had both but if your in the firewood game sharpening and maintaining a chain and bar should be second nature. You get slightly less saw dust from a circular saw. At the moment forestry contractors seem to call processor grade sub 15 inch which is over most circular saw capacity . I really don't rate a bar or a circular above one another just wonder why others do?
  7. 4 days 3 if I don't get a constant flow of window shoppers
  8. To be honest there are a lot if flats running with no crane loaded one end with forwarder unloaded with tele. Price is reduced by 25% as the bio market becomes stronger it's becoming the norm with contractors having dedicated machines to load
  9. Two things that get my back up are people running big cars and moaning about fuel costs. The second people buying nice cars on the knock then not been able to put them right when they breakdown or been to tight to do it
  10. Even better @£57.00 on the deck in yard.
  11. Because if he killed some one they would strip the vehicle. When Fred had the accident the police believed it to be a high profile case with the risk of one occupant passing away. The insurance company resanrly picked the car up it was in boxes ie parts Police and insurance company's work very closely if they can get out of looking after some one with a servers disability they will it costs tens of millions to look after these people. The car was tip top not one minor fault. Anybody that moans about paying for a pat needs to wake up come and spend the day with my son. If you buy a motor you should have the money to run it maintain it.
  12. No pins no go. Simple to get pins sorted though I'll think you will be surprised at how cheep some of the timber lorries are on price. Disadvantage for yourself is no weigher on lorry.
  13. Wp36 is one of the best machines in it's class simple robust design mine had some serious stick and only ever broke a hose. If you hit a piece of metal it's off to the shop for a regrind if he hits one it's a ten min job to replace athe cost of a tenner
  14. I have two loads of ash coming on the 7th that's all been graded out this is a trial run to make sure it's what's on the tin.
  15. How are you getting on with your glen farrow
  16. Got um under 600 or 1000 then Johnny
  17. That's 3mins taken up then
  18. Hotter the better but moving that hot air through the logs is just as important. If you enter a commercial kiln while it's in operation you notice the air movement before the heat.
  19. I've got an Isuzu and tow some pretty hefty stuff about up some steep hills never had a problem. When do you really need 4 x4 on the road ? I've driven both and no which I prefer.
  20. Even with the price tag & and all most certain poor back up / customer service if they can't be assed before they got your money what will they be like after?
  21. Any body suffering with insomnia try melatonin it's worked for me getting 4 /5 hours constant sleep now. Non prescription
  22. :thumbup::thumbup:HNY jon
  23. I think you would still have to purchase the knives Jon there set so the log does not get tapped. That or get hold of one and copy it. Seen a lot of big home made splitter fake on the window knife not been made correctly and timber getting trapped .
  24. Have you seen the price tag? There was a few of us up here that we're going to go in together to get one I was tasked with getting a demo sorted. Spoke to uk importer who said they would be up to me by the end of the next week had some oversize bussed in and never herd any more from them. So broke the 66 out and put it all through a vertical:sneaky2::sneaky2:thumbdown:
  25. Let them carry on Jon
