  1. I've seen the work the children's trust do first hand it's a really worthy cause come on guys see if we can match last years total,
  2. Can you explain the reason why it's not good I've been told it draws nutrients out of the ground but I would of thought it was a case of putting to many in?
  3. Somebody with that mentality is not going to succeed in any buisness. You need a lot of different machinery to cope with a wide range of cord if you can get it right there's money in it. Buying 50 tonne is only ever going to be pocket money. Selling over 500 is the start of a viable buisness. Don't get me wrong there's a local firm doing 10000+ ton kiln dryed with the introduction of RHI on kiln drying wood there feeling the pinch and discounting there products so even the big boys can hit in hard times.
  4. All I ever get is don't back horses
  5. I'm sure I read on google they were made out of Swiss cheese
  6. Wow robbing bar stewards
  7. Why would you want 12 way on a log no bigger than 350 with 420mmyou end up with a log that's a little small. Plus your going to end up with logs of 60 mm going to nothing long thin the only plus is it would dry quick. 12 way has to be a window knife look on tajfun website
  8. Some one recommended gum tree to me going to give it a go with the firewood
  9. Struggled to sign in this time but a got there in the end
  10. Trying to give some one advice on any thread that it's taken you 20 years to take on board yourself is nothing to get upset about
  11. Take a leaf out of Steves book above There is more to life than work some time it just does not become apparent till it's to late . We all want to give our loved ones the best but sometimes the best thing can be your time .
  12. As long as your not in to the bank for money does it matter if it sells this season or next. I've not got a lot but what I have is mine my only cost overheads are yard insurance cord and fuel
  13. Got any gear up for sale then
  14. Use to spend my holidays at the mumbles head as a kid great memories

  16. We got a matbro 4o4 tele old but it's had an easy life and does us proud. Zetor tractor for running the processor and splitters again old but ideal for what we want
  17. I've been looking back through my order book and we're not really down on previous years but I've advertised more so that may be why. Last delivery of today has oil when I commented on the price his response it's not quite the same looking at the oil boiler as the clear veiw.
  18. The Mortimer forest in Herefordshire has to be the top of my list but as I'm a complete tool when it comes to IT I can't upload pics off me iphone and the internet driver on the vaio is broke. Fair play Tom that's some breath taking senary how far is this from your home I remember your yard been on the cliff tops by the sea

  20. That's brilliant would be able to take care of 90% of the tree work we do with that.
  21. My other half started taking happy pills after a recent event she had the worst mood swings ever on them so stopped taking them both her mum & sister still take them her mums fine but her sister is a nightmare up and down like a yoyo. Your mrs situation with her course sounds about right for local authority
  22. We are certainly seeing orders from the trendy wood burner folk who want tree wood but only want a half cube bag which will probably last 12 months. What makes me laugh about the above is how they wine about the £7.50 deposit on the bag. But will pay £4.00 for 6 mouldy birch logs.
  23. Brightwells second Friday of the month I'm sure there's a beat bucket in the smaller stuff that went unsold last month.
  24. Anything with buttresses on can be hard or anything with a union but you just take the particular offender out and put it through the vertical. I will get round to doing a video for anybody interested in the new year. The 500mm machine there bringing out should be a beast
