  1. Thanks for the advice. It seemed a waste of a lot of potentially good looking timber to leave on site. I was surprised how light the timber was, It was dead though.
  2. Hi, Looking to try and find the value of timber. Large Wellingtonia. 1.8m diameter @ base cut. 20m of timber. Tree was 27m. Good access road side, location Dumfries.
  3. I have used Icade and had great results. It's on a stewardship but still easy to buy.
  4. Dogwood. Tear leaf and see if the latex strands are there.
  5. I have asked them to to the sniff test. From what I was reading it should have a peppery smell. It's giving me a headache trying to I'd it.
  6. It's a evergreen. Everyone thought it is a willow without realising it kept it's leaves over winter. To me it looks similar to a bottlebrush with a few differences. The flowers should help which should happen soon.
  7. I was thinking the same and said that but Myrtaceae is a large family. Thankshe for the reply.
  8. Can someone help Id this tree from a family members garden in Christchurch New Zealand. Sorry about the low quality images. Thanks Charlie
  9. We have a product at the moment that we use on beds where grass takes over from the ground cover. A fixing agent is needed but it does work. I will get the details when in work tomorrow. Another option is to spray with gly in late winter with chikara to stop re growth of weeds.
  10. I took a gamble and went secondhand and has been a great bike. Using strava is a good way to find trails but isn't good when your competitive, it makes you go faster than you should. Here's a picture of what happens when smash ur knee into the frame thankfully bike still ok. Have a look at some of the other trail centres there are plenty around Scotland.
  11. I have got back into mountain biking after a good few years off and can't get enough of of it. Gone for spds as the bike came with them and really like the control and power gained from them. Living in Scotland we have tracks everywhere, I prefer natural trails but do a bit of everything. Looking at doing the West Highland Way and possibly the Caringorm Loop in the near future.
  12. Drift are good. A good bit cheaper than gopro and a better design
  13. I like my drift hd. I've had it almost two years and have no complaints. It comes in a case and remote which saves on the editing and battery I can send a link of a couple of vids if you're interested. I paid £150.
  14. The Scags are very reliable and good to use. I have used a 36, 52, 48 and zero turns. The mulching kits slows them down and not always as good cut but leave a great finish if not too much grass. The mulches really struggle with moss.
  15. Mine are active and feeding now but they are big and greedy. Feed only wheatgerm until the water temp gets into mid teens.
