  7. We unload in a field the gateway is hard cored they usually pull in and reverse out . Last week i had a new driver turn up he stopped and i explained what usually happens he looked at me and laughed got back in his lorry and just started driving he got 300m before getting stuck when empty we just dragged him out with tractor. So as said above have a tractor on standby most driver just want to get in and get unloaded as long as there is not anything he can slide into and dent the unit you should be fine.
  8. Have you got any sorted yet if not ill drop these in this morning let us know what's happened. I have just got a vision of you sat there surrounded by chainsaw boots.

  12. Get a pare of x mod combats to go over the top my hiflex are two years old and look like new not many pares of hiflex get to that age.
  13. Allright Predator What has been said about benzo's is all true its awful stuff and the Docs really don't seem to realize how bad it is it will alter your personality and after regular use can be very very hard to get off problems including fits and panic attacks and sleep deprivation. I had a huge problem with them in my early twenty s and it took me a decade to get over so i would hate to see someone else caught by it. Anyway thats my two pence worth did you get sorted with boots as ive found my old one there a 10. 5 so if youneed them let us know all the best Mike:001_smile:
  14. AL Take it in the light hearted way it was meant he was having a laugh mate sometimes its easy to take things the wrong way on here take another look at it in the morning
  15. Its not all about how much you can cut and get to roadside though is it a lot of these smaller machines are been used in small private woodlands. Anyway some might say your playing at it with your set up if you really want to get some timber out you would have two harvesters and two timber jacks working together.
  16. If your getting 3 cube from a tonne and a quarter of oak you must know something i don't because those amounts are what firewood merchants have wet dreams of. I get about 1.5 1.7 m3 to the tonne on ash a little more
  17. We have two sites local to us the one i would not set foot on let alone work on the other is run by a middle age traveller who i have done some work for he is fair and all ways comes to the job when finished and thanks everyone and pays cash. There site has 25+ vans on and is immaculate. Good and bad in all walks of life i think your just as likely to get taken by someone in a mansion as you are someone in a mobile home.
  18. If that's going as firewood at £60 a t i cant see how there's any money in it with oak been so heavy how much does firewood go for down your way?
  19. My old man gave it to me he was given it buy his uncle who served in the army so it had a huge sentimental value i expect it was worth good money never really looked in to it.
  20. Use to have a proper samurai sword made in the traditional way then when i split up with the x missus it went walk about its a shame its the sort of thing that i would of liked to hand down to my boy as it would only get more valuable women scorned an all that!
  21. We will work something out
  22. I was taught bottom then join to it with the top but i find it easier and quicker to do top first what ever suits the individual best imo
