  1. what Rich said Morten - guess you hadn't read the previous posts On the money with your answer BTW Glad to see sanity has returned in the harsh light of day Rich. Was it a full moon last night??
  2. not relevant to the UK, but in Germany I believe it is a legal requirement to have your flue swept annually by a qualified sweep. If you dont have the cert. your insurance wont pay in event of problems
  3. Morten, you're on your own here. Stepping in with a common sense answer like that at this stage of the game is open to all sorts of abuse. Bed time me thinks
  4. right all you techie types - move away from the petrol fumes before you regret it
  5. in my defense Steve, I think it was an accurate comment, but will control myself next time Some companies just get right up my nose. Mind you, following on from this thread I think I should go in and try some of Rich's tactics to wind them up. A lot more constructive perhaps if I have 5 minutes to waste
  6. I'm with you there Tuttle. All ludites rally round
  7. Interesting Bob - I was thinking of going over to boarding. Seems a lot less faffing with only one board and comfy boots. Only been skiing 3 times and never had comfy boots - mainly cos I take a size 14 - and the discomfort spoils it a bit. Why did you go the other way?
  8. Location no problem for me Martyn, but when you thinking - this weekend?? Terry
  9. I didnt want to know before both of ours but the missus did. She relented on the first one and didnt ask, but asked on the second and then toyed with me for the rest of the pregnancy. The final double bluff had me convinced it was a boy, but twas a girl
  10. Yea, I'm up for sharing lifts from the Forest - Sean & Jamie. Makes it easier all round would have thought - only problem is I work away a lot so depends when it is going to happen. Generous offer there Riggerbear. My interests in climbing are purely recreational and I have some rock climbing experience from my youth and a bit of basic working at height stuff from work
  11. elder as in elder flower. Our patch of woodland has it all over the place after 50+ years of neglect so been clearing up a bit. Had a good few choking up some old apple trees which are now in the wood pile.
  12. elder burning away nicely this winter and no problems yet
  13. yup, beautiful blue sky this morning
  14. Thanks gents, keen to learn. Work away a lot, but if I am at home I would like to attend. PS lift offered for anyone from the area who would like to go along, if home that is
  15. another tenner on earlier, but the burning question is have we got over £5000 in the pot yet ?? ........... oh, just saw the flash across the top of the screen £5120
  16. hey Jon, thought the Smart car was more my size
  17. Hey Jon - would make sense to combine forces one way or another. Just cant commit till a date is set as I might well be away at work
  18. usually just toss in whatever is lying about needing to be used up, but liking some of the recipes on here. Dont bother with a processor as it makes for too much cleaning, just chop roughly & cook up in a pot and blitz in the pot with a commercial type handheld blitzer thingy-me-bob - jobs a good-un. Terry
  19. on the way to suffolk perhaps?? Terry
  20. nice one Adam Dont matter what they are, they will fight at times and be the best of mates at other times with somewhere in-between for the most part - enjoy either way as it is not for us to choose. On that note, imagine trying to choose what to have!! Bet a few marriages would come to a sudden end with that one  Best left to mother nature/god/..../???
  21. are amateurs with limited tree climbing experience welcome?? Terry
