  1. thats not as much as I thought it might be, but with only one tonne on board, 4% of the value, which could be 40% of the profit, plus the cost of fuel to get there etc,
  2. any ideas on the cost of putting a vehicle across a weighbridge anyone?
  3. Can we have some pictures of Mk1 and diagrammes, I think everything should be fork-portable, have even dreamt of putting the kids on pallets so you could move them to where you wanted them
  4. so Marigolds essential under some circumstances
  5. what time did that set off? could be a speed record here https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&cad=rja&ved=0CDAQqQIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.westerngazette.co.uk%2FReports-giant-trampoline-blown-tree-Preston-Road%2Fstory-20631320-detail%2Fstory.html&ei=v5D-Usb4I87y7AbA6IDAAQ&usg=AFQjCNE3zoDkQ3_83CMEfGN4CPcXr2CJGA&bvm=bv.61535280,d.ZGU
  6. Hi Al Weve come a long way since Eddie the Eagle, but your probably too young to remember him:001_rolleyes: Rod
  7. Tung oil is non toxic, in fact its just squeezed out of a nut, I have used plenty on window frames etc, cant vouch for the flavour in the tea, maybe it improves it. Do let us know!
  8. I think Breeze and Mechtrev are onto it, luckily pumps arent that dear, you could fit the right size and have yourself a good splitter
  9. If anyone else has done it an lived, then in my book its worth a go
  10. bother, what to do now??
  11. oh no you:biggrin: arent
  12. Is there an oil reservoir? (with a filler cap etc)
  13. 350 kg
  14. Thanks for the advice guys, going to go for beach with holly every now and then. We hadnt though of either of these as they are not in the usual mix. Im afraid as a stock farmer, both laurel and yew are out. I lost two very good steers last winter to yew on some ground that we graze. The amount required for a fatality is very small.
  15. Anyone got any thoughts on which hedgeing plant would prosper the best under and oak tree? We usually plant a mixed hedge on the farm, and most of them have done really well, but not even the brambles thrive under this tree, hence the question, What would you plant? (Anything as long as its native)
  16. Have you been following this at all? Really youve got to try harder. Not orange for a Mitsubishi
  17. whatever you get, find the right shield and keep it as clean as possible, then you can watch what is going on at the weld.

We have a couple of nests that I know the location of ( ordinary uk hornets) one behind some hanging tiles on the old farmhouse and one in the fork of a oak tree that I havent been brave enough to get really close to. I know that wasps do not use the same nest each year but I get the feeling hornets may do. Anyone confirm/otherwise

Hornets do seem a lot bigger when flying than when dead, and quite intimidating when they head your way. From experience they can be coaxed out of their nests at night if you shine a bright light at them.
  20. on the contrary, ...
  21. I totally disagree
  22. If you have the engine on full revs and its dying with no log in the way, then I think there is some other problem, possibly the valve. Post up some pictures or a video, and try to get some numbers off the pump and post on here
  23. If the pump is stopping the engine then that means it is too big for the engine power. Either a larger engine or a smaller pump is required. A more complicated solution if you need high speed operation is to have a dual pump. others on the forum can calculate which pump you need if you post the hp of the engine. good luck hope you get it sorted Rod
  24. thankyou Sensei for this sound advice
  25. which part of the splitting cycle causes the detent to drop out on the tractor?
