  1. Well when this guy (presumably uninsured) makes a mistake and maims or kills someone let it also be on the head of the person who hired him! And it will be!
  2. Very sad! Only got brief details although looks like a good professional outfit, Just goes to show Accidents CAN and DO happen to the best of us! My thoughts are with his Family!
  3. Every company is different, and the amount they need to spend on advertising will therefore be different if your happy that your making enough money from your advertising then obviously your doing something right
  4. I'm with you on the £400 a day just does not happen any more! We often send out 3 men as well
  5. Its only one day in your life if it puts you out that much perhaps you shouldn't be applying for the job in the first place! If you are good then I presume you would have no quarms over getting the job and thus a salary that reflects your skill!
  6. Be careful with this one mate there is nearly always a 'worker and a shirker' in partnerships! don't get taken advantage of especially if your already set up to do it!
  7. We have a yard at Shelley in Huddersfield if thats any good we can take pretty much any quantity as long as it is woodchip/ timber and not other vegetation! If interested please contact me on the e-mail below!
  8. Could you please send me the relevant information! (e-mail below)
  9. Ross mate you should have just asked lol Ill sort it for you next the test is £17.50 and the actual card is £25!
  10. How old is your House? subsidence rarely occurs on new houses with good modern foundations. I'm afraid though, even if it is causing damage you can't actually make her remove the tree until the damage is caused however you can claim compensation back when it does. Send her a dated letter politely identifying your concerns and give her some choices either to remove or be surveyed by an arboriculturist to put your mind at ease. It would also greatly help if you offered to pay or at least contribute to the cost.
  11. The tom tom app is a lil pricey, but in my opinion well worth the cost, However it does kill the battery pretty quick so you will have the additional cost of a vehicle charger!
  12. Wow What a Tool! you would not be entitled to have you car washed these where emergency works carried out to ensure safety on the footpath and road! you tool!
  13. I did my cs 31 there years ago, the quality of the training really was second to none cost! I have found that it can be slightly more expensive then some others but compared with going to a college the quality is worth the price!
  14. Exactly what we get even used one for a while, does get you on Google, not the top at the side in the sponsored links and only one in every so many searches. Not worth it TBH Arb talk and links are the only thing for getting you on google!
  15. Pay for a professional to get you planning permission. When the council came out to our yard they practically laughed and said you have absolutely no chance at getting permission, when when our "guy" turned up the guy from the council instantly switched his behavior and... well we now have a large building on our yard!
  16. Ok what I said was a very poor way of putting it. But using the QTRA system does not give a report any higher authority. So why bother getting qualified, licensed and subscribing to use it? When you can implement your own system for free!!
  17. ^ Great response! But QTRA, really, This method has already failed at court level in Australia. Can't recall the specific case but I know I wouldn't want to have to pay to use a system which has been proven not significant!
  18. I'v always just used google or drawn a rough sketch!
  19. He'll out live us all... Good lad!
  20. Mesterh ^ is completely right though they must be competitively priced to have a chance at being successful! If husqvarna don't do it this time, who will have the confidence in them to do it in the future?
  21. I think this saw is going to be a great rival to the MS 200t and lets face it, up to now there has been NOTHING to touch it! Everything on the new saw seems so well thought out right down to how it will hang from your harness. The hand grip is much more ergonomic (you have a choice of 3, which ever best suits) then the MS 200t, which may sound daft but when your working with a saw all day its the small things that make a big difference. Speaking in power terms I don't think think that it is to be much more powerful! Checked it out at the APF and hoping to have a trial with one! Deffo think Stihl will have to up their game after this one!
  22. I was quite looking forward to these coming out and made a good point to go and see them be tested at the APF, where, to my disappointment, I was very underwhelmed! It may have sharpened the chains but the chains did not seem to cut as fast as a normal chain in the first instance anyway!
  23. Climber wanted in Huddersfield Must hold the relevant CS qualifications. If interested please get in touch, visit website for more information!!!
