  8. Has any one got any experience in using contact management software? I have looked at Microsoft outlooks version of Business Contact manager which is ok and will keep details and all but I want something that will generate automatic Invoices and such and I don't think this is capable. I also look at Sage Act this seemed a lot more complicated and to be honest the demo put me off a little as it seemed very slow. any comments would be gratefully received
  9. It's come to that time of year again... Advertising what to do? My I.T. guy tells me google adwords as does the rep from Yell. I did use adwords last year, dipped my toe in so to speak and by all appearances it had some success, however I don't know if that was due to the adwords or the effort I put into social media and just generally improving the website and what not. I'm sure its a bit of both (I certainly hope it is) just wondering if anybody else has and fresh comments regarding the subject? and specifically what kind of cost they were looking at? was it worth it?
  10. Recently bought a DSLR for some upcoming travels and I think I'm catching the photography bug! Not the best by a long shot but a start I think!
  11. The Distel Hitch revolutionised my climbing, when used with a micro pulley it is an amazing system, that you can also belay off! The ISA also do a great video to show you how to tie it search on u-tube!
  12. This has been coming for a while now, the internet is the way forward!
  13. We had a genuine tracker installed on one of our chippers which got nicked, It was fantastic within 20 mins of calling it in a police officer was stood next to our chipper! Made the £700 for a lifetime membership on it seem a futile amount!
  14. Looks like just a bark crack to me but if you climbed it and notified him, maybe he should have suggested a climbing inspection be completed? Safe side of caution?
  15. I Have had the Husky and the stihl: The husky I thought was Useless the shape of it made it very difficult to put fuel in in the first place, the petrol anti spill spout lasted about 3 weeks and unlike the stihl you cannot easily see how full the can is when putting fuel in. The stihl can is great (although I do not have the special oil cap, is this any good?) has lasted a very long time, and our lads are not gentle with it. the petrol sprout works fantastically and I have had no problems with it! However extremely pricey for essentially a fuel can, does anyone know where to buy cheap ones?
