  1. yes I use them for timbersports.however they are sent away to manufacturer each time to be sharpened and re set etc.
  2. always a blunt 4,half lb felling axe, never a fan of mauls, too sharp an axe will bite into the wood instead popping it open.I use the log splitting as a bit of training for stamina in timbersports.
  3. Flat out had 21orders this week struggling with finding enough wood for ext year however....lookin grim
  4. still got ours our grandad passed down, seeking engine since gypos stole it few year back.love the whistle of an old sawbench

    poplar

if straight and knot free, try find some local timbersports chaps,i know we chop pop quite alot.failing that it actually isnt a terrible firewood once seasoned just burns rather speedy.
  6. been an influx down our end too Hodge, police were after a white transit van with stihl stickers all over it tother month similar incident to what you mentioned, was a heavy set Scottish bloke and a couple young scrotes with them. I shall keep my eyes peeled and fists clenched this rougish behaviour is getting on my nerves and sick of it.
  7. year and half on straight veg oil no issues at all if used frequently it shouldn't gum up or solidify just do not leave the saw stored with tank full it can go bit gunky.drop neat fuel soon clears it back out again tho.
  8. just go round and have it out face to face easiest way deal with it direct,i had a local guy get all uppity about the cubic metre and builders bag stuff. Dont sweat it.Plow on in the face of adversity
  9. 30-40 mpg with lift and tyres????.crikey must be running of super fuel our mates was awful on go go juice barely scraped 25mpg. Absolutly blinding off road hit everything hard and fast and really struggle to get them buried

i shift a boat load of the things, lawsons is fantastic for them.Larch is good but crackles a little however burn times great.Ive even done stupidly big ones for outdoor events.

    Overloaded

regular occurence trailer gets beat on hard tough old unit, even had it filled to brim with wet concrete.
  12. I like to buse fish oils in higher than average doses.around 1500mg it takes time to build up an effect.Glucosamine tends to do very little for some people. Serrapeptase extract is fantastic stuff, also regular massage with emu oil and liquid glucosamine should help.Ice packs of an evening after work alternated with hrat packs should also help temporarily calm the inflammation. Also try to eliminate all inflammatory food from your diet its suprising what effect that will have for general health.A good dose of blueberries may also aid in the anti inflam side.Be careful of the diclofenac sodium as it can cause bad stomach ulcers.
  13. Haha it sure is.In a sadistic way I kind of enjoy it.Keeps me fit as fiddle.
  14. The stuff I sell to customers is a different story lol slightest hint of damp on the logs and it sends there alarm bells ringing. My own logs however will remain black, nasty looking discoloured and left outside uncovered forever more.No point in pointless faffing
  15. Hey rich I too had rotator cuff tear and partial labrum tear and ac separation. I found ice and fish oil in high doses took care of the inflammation along with serrapeptase. I gained mine from scrapping and getting belted in arm by crowbar. However over the years my upper chest front delt and shoulder girdle overpowered my scapular and the surrounding muscles in upper mid back and lower trapezius resulting in impingement a the ac joint. I did alot of external rotator cuff work with bands and light dumbells. And an endless amount of scapular pushups facepulls band pull aparts and dumbell pullovers. This combined with endless hours of stretching out my chest and lats and foam rolling my upper back and self myofacial release massage to my shoulder and upper backs and lower trapezius and rhomboids has patched me back together for now.
  16. Quick update shoulder self rehabed and feeling much better, body is absolutely on fire at moment, dropped over 5 stone and now fitter and stronger than ever.I have switched over to a strictly palaeolithic diet and feel so so much better,if anybody would like details i can aid and detail my daily food intake its very simple to follow. Hit a P.B on yoke carry this week 425 kg 100 metres 26 seconds the weight drop has aided immensely in all medley events Believe to achieve chaps, any tips or advice hit me up The Yeti
  17. i go barefoot as much as humanly possible, even walk round town or go hiking barefoot.Improves posture and helps eliminate lower back knee and hip issues...the human body was designed with the best footwear naturally..funnily heal toe walking and running etc actually will degrade knee integrity over time we were designed to run using our natural arch and ball of foot to absorb impact. Go barefoot and dont look back.Even better run on sand or uphill flatland running is pointless and out dated and will destroy your body over time.

    Creatine

no it wont cause any joint issues...all you guys pulling and tweaking muscles using it are probably either, using bad form and or too much weight too fast.It will increase strength in good responders and as we all know muscle repairs quicker than ligaments so most likely you have overloaded your ligaments..It will cause cramping tho unless larger than normal amounts of water and potassium are ingested.Niacin caps can help with this tho. if i can pull 25 ton wagons whilst using it and my body is still fit and able then i doubt any of you guys will have any problems.Best taking during workout with simple carbs natural honey being my personal fave as it has tremendous anti inflam properties.and plenty fluids.
  19. absolutly bashing it out splitter died and bust its guts 30 cube this week done by hand,IM GOING LOG BLIND
  20. always, never cover my own firewood it seasons faster left to elements burns spot on even softwood it just penetrates a little deeper, how many chimney fires have i had may you ask? not blinking one.All this covered dried barn stored kiln dried fancy smancy wood is a load of cods wallop and ill stand by this statement haha

  22. Ran an old l200 tipper. ram was off a transit the bed and Frame off a tata.Apart from mitsi's absolute awful 2.5 and 2.8td engines it was okey.If not done already change timing belt, they love letting go.
  23. Softwood, hardwood cord or arb waste wanted not fussed on size, shape or what species it is or if it's seasoned or not Can arrange self collection via trailer load at a time or twin axle grab wagon. Anything considered as need to fill yard up for next season Pm me on here or drop an email to [email protected] if can aid or supply cheers Yeti
  24. Yes I meant softwood that's been down on deck. Birch also dosnt keep to well after two years either just turns to rotten mush.
