  1. Quite right, the worst, absolutely awful.
  2. Wise words:001_smile:
  3. Well, you said you would get one and you did, well done! could you keep us tyre kickers, and dreamers informed as to the pros and cons as they appear? and be honest!
  4. It's a misnomer really, I should change it to Treekeeper, Crownlifter and Thinner or something like that:001_smile:
  5. I agree, but I always seem to be recommending removals!
  6. Gotta admit, when you get into a row with Tony Sorensen, you had better be packing some heat.
  7. It's interesting that this has now almost morphed into the much derided "what went wrong this week thread" or whatever it was called, seems that people have a need to share this sort of thing.
  8. That's pretty much what lots of us do I reckon, A heavy 3.5 tonner with a chipper and equipment is a certain pull. taking the gear on another wagon lessen the odds a bit.
  9. Don't get too hung up on Stihl, imo their non chainsaw stuff is no better than Echo and other non hardcore makes.
  10. oi Geoff...give me your dinner money! now!
  11. actually just realised i confused the 576 with the 357, so ignore my comment, (not that anyone took any notice!) time for bed.
  12. they are not really comparable, depends on the intended use.
  13. Are you saying he is useless?
  14. thanks, google here I come!
  15. As long as you priced it ok ,no wukkas (never been to Australia)
  16. Very handy, out of curiosity, what make is that mini loader? (i'm sure you've told us before but I cannot be arsed to look)
  17. So one day after starting this thread you have already decided to flog the lot for a unimog?
  18. I and many others on here run 3.5 tonners, I know that legally you can only put a small amount on the back but 1300 kg or a little more is no problem, I try not to tow the chipper when loaded, either go back for it or take the landy with the saws and chipper. Worst I ever did was 2 tonne that was dodgy!
  19. they're not really different from any other tree, wood's quite heavy....... er that's it.
  20. Ok, got it, none taken.
  21. Black,white and silver?
  22. Don't get me wrong between me and her it's not been easy, but some of the trees she's pulled over and some of the terrain we crossed with a load of chip and the TW behind. But why won"t the doors shut? why are the half shafts made of cheese? why is oil retention so difficult, questions questions.....(still the French thinks she is cool!)
  23. Hi Ty Obviously I draw attention to the fact you are using a food blender for tree surgery, then I will offer my limited experience, firstly always use some sort of grease on the threads, and I always spend a few minutes with something sharp and some wd40 to clean out the hole for the torque drive and tap it home with a small hammer before applying pressure. Works for me.
  24. Here's mine, 300tdi, what i love most is the winch, Superwinch HL14 with a radio remote, every time the old girl annoys me and I think about selling it, I try and imagine life without that and relent.
  25. Don't want one but what a very good idea! so much more practical than a all out conversion.
