  1. Interesting point about the 880/660 fuel consumption.Would the bigger more powerful saw be more fuel efficient ringing up big butts? Maybe someone could do a test.
  2. They are both top handled saws, produced for pruning as opposed to felling etc. it's not suprising people compare them.
  3. I hear some big feet approaching this thread....
  4. [/b] No I want France to lose, they're unbearable in triumph. What does that mean? (the last bit)
  5. Me or the thread in general?
  6. I've used a 192 and a little Echo and yes they're ok. But like the ad says "why have something like a Golf when you can have a Golf" (For Golf read 200/201)
  7. How's that Jon? you can tell if it's new surely?
  8. Impertinent is the wrong word it suggests somehow I ought to defer to you. As for the rest I don't know, maybe I am just asking a relevant question on a open trade forum.
  9. Dunno! I go to the shop, give them the chain, they give me a new one back.
  10. Ok your choice (obviously!) just passing time before the rugby:001_smile:
  11. ^^^^ what he said, Portugese Laurel.
  12. The 150 has a smaller engine, I looked at it briefly, the guy in the shop said it was not up to "elagage professional" The gibe about weight is fair comment though, it's not difficult really to carry a 200/201 all day, any small increase is surely worth the extra power?
  13. Why get a 150? It's going to be gutless. The 201 I have just bought is an absolute peach. If your not strong enough to carry a 201 on your belt or use it all day well....
  14. Very good! love the way he walks away a bit ruefully. Love a pratfall.
  15. Most climbers do or have done both, doesn't stop the cursing when something is poorly executed. (from both parties!)
  16. Wine is cheaper than water John!
  17. Yeah sorry, just back from the pub! shouldn't have said it.
  18. You've probably got AIDS.
  19. Good point about forums replacing pubs, true for me as there are very few pubs around here. Steve Bullman is the landlord!
  20. I don't know what it's called but my wire core flipline has some kind of mechanical grab, squeeze it and it opens, and you can shorten it just by pushing it back through. It's all you need. Chogging down, second line when ascending, safety line when up another stem. Never without it.
  21. As others have said, it's done now, probably not worth fretting about.
  22. Listen to what these people are saying, a Def on a budget will cost a fortune to get up to scratch. What did the guy say earlier "seriously don't do it"
  23. Well this morning it had its debut. Oak reduction, cedars then a walnut dismantle. No issues at all, lovely saw, on a par with the 200, will pull a bar length through oak. Love it!
  24. Seems strange to think about resale value. Use it till it's knackered, then keep it for spares.
