  1. Oh well, no real choice is there? Husky don't seem to fancy it, Echo are ok for light pruning but dismantling.....
  2. ok mixed reviews, I am on my 6th or 7th 020 then 200 now 201 so I will give it a fair review in a week or two.
  3. Thought I'd bump this thread as I have just picked up a 201. First day with it tomoz. There must be lots filtering into work now. Any new opinions now the dust has settled?
  4. Spikes can be ruined if you "take them back" The lightest of tickles with a flat file will suffice. IME blunt(ish) spikes can be ok. It's not a cutting tool, just enough to penetrate and hold you.
  5. Not a job for your fattest climber! interesting stuff.
  6. I've been trying to remember that one for ages:thumbup:
  7. My old man used to say "Mick you could muck up a fine day" though he did not use the word muck, but it rhymed with it.
  8. Lean back, oh and buy a wire core flipline. It's really not difficult. keep at it.
  9. Usually said to some overenthusastic young'un lifting logs. "No gold medals for a slipped disc"
  10. Did they do fencing and weed control around electricity substations?
  11. Patience is the key, plant now, wait 2 years. Then they are good for 10 or so.
  12. It's the wife who does the veg, me, the flowers. except for the asparagus, she cannot be trusted with those!
  13. I have had both, electric are fine as long as you let it cool a bit between pulls. A good pulley will give you enough tug. My hydraulic one is a beast but it's only suitable for landys. If you find a good one for the Ranger I'd be interested as I want to put one on mine.
  14. Just a thought, if you are going to have this sort of thing, you might perhaps put some more "personal" stuff, your machines, groundies etc, otherwise it's just The General Tree pics thread"
  15. Yeah ok, good comments from all.
  16. Utter nonsense! do you think whenever people talk about footy after a while the subject drifts to " oh isn't it a better game than Rugby" No of course not 'cos they don't have to, it's self evident, more people play it and watch it worldwide. I like Rugby well enough, it has it's charms but if Messi and co were on the other channel....
  17. Give it a rest! that is so boring.
  18. Strangely the springs and tyres don't look too squashed:confused1:
  19. I've bought cheaper cars.
  20. I very much doubt that, It's an old Anglo saxon name.
  21. It's actually his Mum's maiden name, I know/knew his Dad. 4 boys all sportsmen. They must be very proud.
  22. Ok it's on my phone now, very good, I'll play with it till I'm used to it.
  23. I have an iphone, I am also not very savvy on these things (not alone I suspect!) could someone explain what tapatalk is? it seems, according to Steve it's going to be replaced by something. Fine, but what advantage in using these things? I am sure they are really good......help!
  24. motto!. Anyway mine is "if it was easy any one could do it" or asked if a tree will survive "it's got two chances" When a groundy moans about their lot "you should have worked harder at school" There's others......
