  1. Me too, even better when you join in.
  2. Ideally post some pics otherwise it's all speculation.
  3. I'd love one! Out of interest what do the tow behinds weigh?
  4. Is that sun coming up or going down?
  5. Just speculating, but lean back a bit more then you won't slip.
  6. Oh don't worry about it Dean, tomorrows chip paper and all that:001_smile:
  7. I didn't think it woulld be long before you came out with the "Dean Lofthouse rationale" I am sucessful ergo I am right.
  8. I think the fact that it is even comparable is amazing, it won't be long before their use is obligatory in urban settings. (obviously that's just my take on it!)
  9. It's the future, cheap, clean, light, silent. as the meerkat says "simples" (as least for top handles)
  10. It's ironic that all the people moaning about Sundays being sacrosant etc are on a work related forum talking about it! (on a Sunday)
  11. When selling logs:confused1:
  12. Stop moaning! guy probably expected an answering machine. Get another line put in if you are worried about friends family etc.
  13. Timber Cutter Dartmoor on here uses one with a "thumb" Gave me some good advice. There is a thread somewhere with some pics.
  14. It's fine to use new motor oil as chain lubricant especially as an occasional user.
  15. You've hurt my feelings now....I think you're nothing more than an educated bully.
  16. Mixed message there:confused1: I started giving out the "lift end thin" mantra after leaving college with the advice of lecturers ringing in my ears. After a while I saw that clients weren't happy and felt cheated. If the tree is too big, make it smaller! That's what they want. Yes I know all about "sail effect" etc Thinning is by and large a waste of time, most trees will fill the gaps in a season. Lifting can be done with a polesaw. Why do we have to lecture to people when they want a service?
  17. You're wrong. College taught rubbish that you'll grow out of or starve to death.
  18. Couldn't resist! sorry
  19. well it's neither fish nor fowl as it is.
  20. I'd repollard only this time hit it harder. Not worth fannying around with thinnings etc
  21. Could do a lot worse than try You Tube. Better than nothing.
  22. Jonny, I like your posts, uncompromising, informed and well...pithy, but seriously you're using a sledge to crack a nut here, I mean are you this angry all day? PS.Don't turn your biblical wrath on me (please!)
  23. I would say the OP is about right, If it were me I'd burn the lot, trunks and everything, why muck about?
  24. Interesting thread, I have never worked mine out, probably never will. As long as I have money I assume I am doing ok; Wrong I know but I am sure I am not alone.
  25. I must qualify that my TW150 overheated because of this, luckily there was no long term damage. Be especially aware when chipping dry/dead wood "over" the rad, blow it on every tea break.
