  1. I don't think it's serious, just a bit of a laugh.
  2. If I was starting out again I would do Landscaping, patios, fencing, ponds etc. Nice little 2.5 tonne digger etc. Trees have been good to me (probably better than I have been to them!) But these days.......
  3. I have had 2 hiluxs a navarra and now a ranger and guess what? I think the ranger is the best, not good looking at all but pokey and a great tower. Just my opinion though.
  4. Highscale God I'm bored!
  5. I think you can be a little more cryptic than that!
  6. I reckon you're right.
  7. I recently agonised over buying a 560 and didn't. Now I wish I had spent the extra for more power.
  8. I think people are confusing Class as in lower, middle and upper and class as in say "David Niven was a classy guy"
  9. Interesting idea! the climber not the firm.
  10. The damage to property would happen on the day as it were, the same as if a digger driver digging out a patio swung round and damaged a wall. I don't doubt the sincerity or the hard work that the AA do but I think they are tilting at windmills. To second guess your (or anybody else's next question) "What should be done?" for me..nothing, some government bodies will want accreditation from their contractors. Fine if you want that work.
  11. To quote Huck if you're a plumber and you do a bad job after you leave houses explode/flooded, people die from carbon monoxide etc. In our job the worst that could happen is a badly pruned tree.
  12. That does not suprise me. What a peach of a saw.
  13. What do you mean by that?
  14. Just a quick note to say that I never used my ferrets on rats. has anyone else? ps I loved my ferrets so no bad stories.....please
  15. Elg, really do you think there will be rat parents wandering around wringing their hands (paws) wondering where their children are?
  16. You actually see his leg break, Oucheee
  17. Well if in doubt take the power unit off the bar to reduce the cost of a cock-up.
  18. Well I've used a breaking bar when it's almost cut through to rotate it if that's what you mean. (to try and free it)
  19. Good advice(especially the last bit)
  20. Brilliant, I am beginning to understand the fascination.
  21. Reckon that's it. Thanks
  22. Here's an unusual one found in my garden this morning with what looks like squid tentacles. I could Google it I suppose but where's the fun in that?
  23. I suppose the problem is that these videos purport to be instructional, this is what seems to rattle most peoples cage. I Always watch them and often take a tip or two away (ignoring other things aswell) Other people put great stuff up on here without ramming down our throats how great they are or this is how it's done. They don't need to, it's self evident. Anyway keep posting, debate is good. Mick
  24. I am not being all big time about it. Domestic arb is commercial arb!, It's all I do, I have had and used lots of different chippers and honestly I believe that a TW/jensen/greenmech 6in chipper around is 30/35 hp is the most lucrative tool (along with a tipper) you can buy. Ps Gawd bless Mrs Miggins!
  25. The chimney needs sweeping again. Buy some rods and do it yourself. It's no biggy.
