  1. Love the arbdogs thread! here's Charly the cocker, tonight I realised she has been stealing and eating fatballs meant for the birds! fat greedy cow!
  2. Well done, good job. Did you bring the job in on time (ie make enough money)
  3. very nice gear, professionally done, (it's popular with me:001_smile:)
  4. Coupable.......man's got to have a hobby.
  5. My tranny has just passed it's mot so that will be 11 years of faithful service. You will not get even a half of the chip on the Mitzi that the tranny would have taken comfortably, plus she will handle like a drunken hippo. Imo you should have got another cheap tranny.
  6. Possibly being a bit previous:001_smile:
  7. 20 students and 3 instructors,( I cannot comment with any authority on the crane work) you have to admit that sort of training does not happen here in the UK. Brilliant for the students to be up there watching at first hand. I often see foreign climbers and firms on here getting slated, Little Britain mentality.
  8. Yes but in a forestry situation surely no one is going to climb if they can avoid it. In similar situations I have continued until either the tree has dislodged or if it sits straight put a step cut and pulled with a truck. Anyway it's Daniels call.
  9. Thanks Daniel, Question; why not just keep sectioning it until the whole thing came out?
  10. So replace the rope, costs buttons:001_smile:
  11. Guy, is this a trick? are you going to expose the people who vote against your prefered option?
  12. And let's not forget Rugby has it's own disease, Scrum Pox, caused by rubbing your face on another mans thighs!.....nice
  13. Thanks Silky, good photo diary of the trip. Going back to West Sussex for Xmas, looking forward to the pubs/real ale.
  14. not with landys you don't, you can pay a lot and still get a shed!
  15. A lot depends on what you do, but I have both and if one had to go it would be the Landy. Simply put the tranny makes me more money.
  16. Of course you feel undervalued, we all want more money. Fact is you get what you're worth. If climbers get 120 a day that's because if they don't do it someone else will. Tbh for the overheads of a cheap TW, A 3.5 tonner and some basic gear I don't think there is a better (or easier once you know what you're doing) way of making money. (mind you PL insurance does sting a bit)
  17. That is not Mendiplogs! would he ever use the word "enchanting"? Just got it, It's Silky here as opposed to Silky's here.
  18. Agree entirely, worried about stickers!
  19. What's eco?
  20. Rain and wind all day, hardly set foot outside the door!
  21. Not alone!
  22. Oh right, like with a wire core flip line. Thanks
  23. Could some please explain what "self tending" is?
  24. Always a bit spiky Scots Pine! good point though.
  25. Me too, I don't hunt myself but they are widespread here abouts, turf my field up some nights in search of worms! Awesome beasts. I'll post a some photos in a few days:thumbup:
