  1. They want one of their managers there. I expect their risk stuff will be detailed so I want to avoid too much hassle. We told them about the conifers as they are potentially an issue if a branch goes the wrong way. In hindsight a mistake but I wanted to know what to do if one landed on their track= main line to sittingbourne. I think I was wanting to know how to react should one of the branches touch the track and could we hook it back or would this be a disaster=electrocution. So to recap- it's private land but if we drop a branch badly it could go onto the track- probably easily retrievable with the right gear but I am thinking it would be a very bad thing. It's one of those- nice easy conifer but potential for disaster jobs. I think I saw it on a windy day and this is why I'm anxious that we know what to do in the event..... Grey area??
  2. We have to remove 2 conifers right next to the railway line fence perimeter Network have said they want a manager on site plus a method statement etc. Do they have any say on what we do or how we do it- Obviously I would be happy to have one of their guys on hand just in case but how much can they interfere and delay us.
  3. plus the fact that I did offer to drop some off for the other guy and received no reply so I ask 'did he really want them or was he just trying to get everyone going' I would be more than happy to sell to the OP but fraid too far away:thumbdown:
  4. Really good advice here Follow that and you'll never be short of an employer.
  5. You know Rich there a road in Dover where trees are planted in the road. Not so implausible.
  6. back from the walk- I guess I need to ask Fluid retention makes sense as I'm drinking at least 3 litres water a day but not eating excessively plus alcohol consumption nearly zero- just a blow out on the last few days before chemo just for old times sake you realise:001_smile: I'll have that chat- I really couldn't handle large weight gain. Thanks for your replies.
  7. Thats me off the steroids then- maybe I should check why they are giving me them first. But today I really notice how much weight I have been putting on and it's not good. With cancer they like you fat as they can give you more chemical as I understand it but I'd rather not. 5 and a half stone Andy- that scares me no end. I'm sure the exercise will help. I'm going for an 8 mile walk- Walmer to St Margarets along the coast and back tonight just to let my legs know what to expect. I'll have to wait till then because you have to keep out of the sun- darn!
  8. Cheers fellas Out and about alcohol free is an experience that I'm enjoying a lot as everyone else gets more and more drunk I find I'm feeling more and more intelligent. Steroids though- I've enjoyed the buzz but this morning noticed I'd put on a stone in the past 7 weeks- that's got to stop.
  9. Try chicken liver= yum Also try thin strips and don't cook too long Add a bit of soured cream in at the end= stroganoffish Recently found that it tastes good with chinese 5 spice Liking the tip about crispy bacon in at the end= added character Cooking eh - its all about trying out new experiences. Some you go with and others don't work.
  10. Sorry Andy- I meant to say I have found this too Spending more time looking closely at things- getting the bigger picture
  11. Well I promised to keep posting so here goes. 3rd session on thurs and yesterday. Big doses of steroids and thats why I went to bed at midnight and up at 4.30 full of energy. Theres some good comes out of this. So- who wants it- obviously no one in their right mind= stay healthy- moderation in all things. Enjoy life to the fullest extent- do what you want to do while you can and don't put off till tomorrow. Stay friends with those you love. Loads more Desirderata- you know it all really already but often lose the plot. So you get something like cancer= you know people don't really talk about it enough because it's often curable or slowable and in fact many people die with cancer but not of cancer so it's not something to fear more than anything else. Feeling optimistic at present and hoping to feel similar in 10 years. Above all big big up for all the nurses in hospitals= patience of saints and genuine desire to help their patients shines through most of the time. Up for CT in 2 weeks so will know more then:001_smile:
