  1. Could you make a two stage telescoping mast like an industrial forklift one but much lighter with a rope and pulley with a rope lock grab mechanism. Hoist up parallel to slot nudge over position it, release rope and guide in and lower in a controlled manner. You would be stood right next to the fence with a vertical mast. Not part of my game but I can see the need and there must be some borrowable ideas out there.

    Investment?

My experience is no financial investment works long term these days. I've never had spare cash in £0000s. But when I have invested I have rarely gained with the exception of an ING ISA but they don't do it anymore! Pension I have put in for 23 years, I chose to retire at 50(incase of health etc) Government shifted that to 55. Other goalposts have shifted, Its worth about a years current income now. Pants!! Don't forget the shareholders are to pay, the staff that drive Audis or better etc. It might be your money but its working for other people more than you I think.
  3. Fair enough comments, I want to avoid employing somebody as I have a strong aversion to admin and paperwork. I generally try to work with my wife on the tractor knocking the posts in. Its a much more efficient way for me. The rest I can do solo if I need to. Hence the shunting and getting in and out the cab for me is a time waster. As you say the bryce was a serious upgrade/performance enhancer from previous, I just keep trying to progress as its a competitive market with expensive gear needed. I have my own DIY net spinner which fixes to the bryce, which for us makes a quickfencer not much of an upgrade.
  4. Whilst its brilliant for corners which the side mounted sumas can be awkward, don't you find you have alot of shunting to do? Just asking. Also have you considered the profencer?
  5. Short term as said if its cold up to a month in bags. However they can go mouldy with a mildew white effect. Which can go too far. Sometimes heeling in is ineffective because if they are in bundles the center plants have no moisture contact with soil. If heeling in long term open the bundles and spread them in the trench. Vigour does fade with prolonged periods out the ground. You can only do you best. Hardy plants are a resilient bunch.
  6. I decided to be difficult and put brushcutter repair budleigh salterton. You came first in results:thumbup: Like Spud, I avoid the cumbersome clutter of Yell. It takes ages to often get nowhere. Love or hate Google its what gets the results.
  7. I drop the useless words. The and etc. For you I'd put professional(for equipment type and service.) Landscaping, horticultural , equipment , machinery, lawnmower. service, repair, agent. Not all at once. I'd work through the combinations of words to get results and add geographic names.
  8. Aye that reads more informative.
  9. Is that a mammogram image, I can't make sense of it on my phone?
  10. I know someone who had the hot water type fitted and they do work brilliantly. However I can't remember the ins and outs but the company went under and part of the payment was on credit card. Full refund for the whole thing and the panels work beautifully. Personally I would get the hot water type first. Then PV if room on the roof. But I've seen a lot on housing estates facing in every direction but north. These cannot be earning the full potential, also there is optimum angles depending in the time if the year. Many again are just laid on the existing roof angles. I would be after the full potential. A friend who has just got back from Australia met a chap that had his on a turntable and turned them every few hours. The gains were worth it. Just need to work at home!
  11. Valid points made, also should something ever give under tension backend should be cheaper to fix than front end. On the other hand nicer view and comfort if its on the front and your in the cab.
  12. Finished my first bit of hotbed today. About 5ft x 5ft square. Mixed 5 barrows of muck to one of fresh woodchip. Dug a foot deep. Piled it a foot above ground level and put soil back on top. I thought I would have time in January but it's a struggle so far. Hopefully sow first salads next weekend. Continue the bed for some early potatoes. Only made it in the poly tunnel so far. Hope to make one outside as well.

  14. Thanks for the simple answer, I have asked this question to several better informed people than myself. They tend to say downplate. I have spent a few hours over the last 5 years or so reading Vosa website info. One page can say one thing then another conflicts it. Rarely clearcut in my experience.
  15. So in laymans terms if trailers max permissible weight is 2200kg but towing vehicle in OP can only pull 2000kg it's ok to load up to that weight and leave the original 2200kg plate on trailer?

  17. TATA if any left around. Driven by hopeful get there one day entrepreneur. Or someone who is happy to just plod on.
  18. No problem for stubby, the warranty run out on him decades ago. They just fit a new part when he gets broken.
  19. I don't know Ive never seen felled wood. If it twists some daft arty types will buy it:laugh1: Afterthought. Have a look in the leaf litter if you can. The oak leaves I see in your picture don't seem to have the narrow width to lenth ratio of cerris.
  20. A kid from my primary schools dad went down the DIY route. took out all the bits in his way, never strengthened to compensate. Banana roof got condemned. Instead of gaining room lost his home.
  21. I wonder how many get planted 6ft from the window so they can keep an eye on them? OP. I would still go with the seed idea. They will be tiny plants but they will be from the same year as the wedding. I think betula utilis comes pretty true from seed with its white stem and seeds are hanging on them now. So plenty pick the best out near the time.
  22. I might be wrong but quercus cerris is difficult to season without twisting and shaking to bits.
  23. Bit of a wind up but sometimes you see skips with a few brand new rolls chucked in. some are made from wool waste, hemp is expensive. Others could be recycled carrier bags or plastic waste. Thats of top of my head.

When doing my cpc recently it was mentioned a few truck drivers had gained a full motorbike entitlement! The reality is it is too much hassle to tell them. I've tried to change a vehicle from a 1.8 to a 1.8td. They couldn't get round it. It's still a 1.8! Also have told them multiple times address is spelt wrong for 15 yrs now. I gave up years ago.

Or borrow a mates/someone in the office card. Its still possible to get round it illegally. I myself due to multiple DVLA incompetence's had two digi tacho cards for a year. I never abused mine. But I could of driven 2 trucks at once. I reckon there is a few duplicates out there. It is a pain getting a different driver if your arb and wanting a trailer towing or a chipper. To have the automatic B+E on passing car test the driver needs to be about 35 yrs+ old.(off top of my head) Who wants the extra headache of a test for something you will "probably not use"
