  1. Mine is too sharp, or Im too daft. It gets worked out. Its like living with a detective. Credit to her she is interested in what I do. Also my sidekick on some jobs. "Have you bought a new chainsaw?" "No" "Well that looks newer, did you clean it in my sink?" etc:001_rolleyes:
  2. My wife did let me heat up crankshaft bearings in the electric oven once for a husky 362xp. But I wasn't allowed to do it again after that, thankfully, never needed to.
  3. It will be like the hybrid cars. Negative over whole life.
  4. thats approved.
  5. I think it should be done more. Especially with non post and rail fencing.. Cheaper and impossible to get out of square with each other. But personally I have a system sorted for getting it square and just do as customer supplies/requires. Concreting wooden posts is my pet dislike. They rot too quick and many leave the concrete showing:thumbdown:
  6. I'm not a teacher, but I will move you to the top of the class with that essay. A+ I did realise you where not aiming comments at original enquirer. It was just how it all read, it sounds different when you hear it in person. Peace.
  7. Their are various possible outcomes and their choices on this. You acknowledge this is a homeowner here, yet you fail professionalism by misspelling profanity! Not wishing to create enemies here, but there is a whole vocabulary out there to use.
  8. Seriously at that angle? The animal rights gang will destroy them as quick as you buy them. Also do they have a roof to contain livestock?
  9. Nice find for dedicated hauling woodchip etc. Who makes them?
  10. I would leave it until the end of this year. Also as mentioned possibly plant a tree behind it. Most people seem to stick trees in the corner of small gardens, I recommend not doing this because 75% of the footprint will be on other peoples property and they can manage it up to their boundary. Also a pain to maintain with access issues. However this tree is likely to recover in my opinion.
  11. Here is everybody elses so far http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/landscaping/51495-show-us-your-fencing.html
  12. Need pictures to make opinions, before and after would give the full picture if possible. If you are talking about the maroon/purple leave cherry plum. They tend to have vigourous regrowth, but will need formative pruning to get get shape back in the next couple of years. What do you recommend I do?? Do I keep them and wait for them to grow back?? Does anyone know how long this will take?! Will we see any green this summer?? And will they ever blossom again?? Most likely next year, fruiting trees respond to stress with reproduction to ensure species survival often How quickly might they grow back??If its what I think it is yes I'm not sure how long I can stand seeing the depressing stumps for that long... Would be great to hear any advice or recommendations that might help us through this dreadful situation. Thanks so much.
  13. Well done Steve, you obviously put your Carol distractions away from your mind that day and applied 100% of your mental prowess to the job. With a back saving non finger trapping result.
  14. nice legacy. The sort of thing the old men of the land used to do/leave.
  15. He was upset the tree went then he said. 'there were still tree parts in our garden nine days on...... they should have been cleared away!' You can't please some folk. Going back the next day wouldn't of been my favourite option. " Hi we've just come back to finish off the tree removal, can I interest you in a complementry free stump grind?" You dont think it was mendip jon looking for harder wood butts do you?
  16. Is this still happening. Or was it shelved?
  17. Looks a good option for undippable or parts like chassis which are hard to get at.
  18. Aye I could be out a little on that one ,was dr Trowbridge and greenbaum the ladies in the film
  19. I didn't google it. I've had bad hearing most if my life so read everything to get information. Including credits subconsciously. Filling my head with pointless info. Martin short was in innerspace and spy's like us I think. Again films I've only watched once. It's annoying because information I want to store doesn't stick as well.
  20. Mine is a round orange juice container. I did measure ibc tank but they are 1.2 x about 1m just short one way. But I'm open to all experimentation. Might try the electro Method. On a small scale sometime any pointers appreciated.
  21. Nice result. Quick, but how much tractor wheel rim would I get in it??
  22. I have only ever eaten pizza out of a home built oven once. They were burning pallet wood. If a pizza was in longer than 20 seconds it got seriously charred. I think 17 seconds was the ideal time!!! O and the fire brigade came out due to the smoke. But thankfully they didn't switch the oven off.
  23. Edit for original post the pictures are in the wrong order!!!!
  24. I did come across that and vinegar. Cola (phosphoric acid) can be a bit severe but much quicker. Im soaking 36 inch rim tractor wheels. I need 300 + litres of the stuff. Molasses was £36 for 30ltr. Cola maybe better for smaller parts but would be alot more ££££
  25. Yes, probably. I even have a small one myself. But hate using the thing. This is actually pleasurably satisfying. It's also gentle. I have wire brushes on angle grinders, sanders etc as well. But this way so far suits me. Just leave them to soak have a brushing session. Put them back in. It's therapeutic even. Back to nature. It's big in the states with car restoration. I
