  1. Because? I like the look of the Giant pedstrian models for my work.
  2. Just checked the post. It looks the same to me? did you mean 'retract'?
  3. Plasticiser actually makes a screed harder to work and key in my experience.
  4. Your £1000s in training doesn’t necessarily mean you’re any good at it though.... Plenty of two week wonders around touting for work. There will always be idiots, he could just have easily been ‘having a go’ with a digger and hit the gas main.
  5. A single wheel cabstar can run some serious knobbly tyres. Obviously won't be any match for a tracked mewp still, but something to consider. Also you will always have weight over the rear with a MEWP on, which will help too.
  6. **************** that
  7. Looking good mate, what extras did you spec?
  8. Well my E19 is apparently on it's way from the dealers, and due at my yard any moment. I'll post some pics oince I've got the grab on. A word of warning- the dealer mechanic is here addressing a couple of niggles on the E27- he says any new machine you'll be lucky to get by September 2021! ?
  9. Interesting. I may experiment!
  10. I beg to differ. I've just 'upgraded' (I say that as I've kept both!) from an LDV Convoy to an Iveco Daily.? I totally agree with the sentiment, however. @Treetom15- my 4k Iveco Daily knocks the spots off a Transit. Physically bigger, tows better, and no 'scent of pikey'. Highly recommended. Plated to tow 3.5t with a full load also- 7t gross train weight. Nice low gearing means it's no struggle and things like reversing are a pleasure. You sit quite a bit higher up compared to a Transit- I find myself looking down on them. Which is nice, as I'm sure I've had my fair share of being looked down upon in the trusty LDV!
  11. Pva is water based so no good for outdoors. Use sbr as Kev describes ??
  12. Hire a transit tipper for a week and stick some ply greedy boards on. Needs must. Should be able to hire a cage sided one and just cable tie some thin plastic to the inside even.
  13. Trouble with flyers, even 'gps tracked' is that your flyer will go straight in the bin along with the other dozen they drop at the same time. You're much better off sending a lad to to a flyer drop on a posh estate whilst you finish clearing up after working on a house there. Much more targeted and cheaper.
  14. Bark is full of dreamers and wasters. Total race to the bottom.
  15. DHP481RTJ - 18V Brushless Combi Drill LXT WWW.MAKITAUK.COM Product
  16. Well he can't have liked his chipper blades that much then...
  17. Do you mean it ‘goes right through customs’ if they don’t catch you?? Or are garden machinery imports from the Philippines duty free??
  18. The biggest brushless makita one is good, bags of torque and comes with a long brace handle. Waitley knock off batteries are good and the 18v makita system has a lot of other tools so a good one to ‘lock in’ to with the purchase of batteries and drill. modern top of the range battery kit is better than the old petrol drills.
  19. Might be best to get a bloke with a digger to pull the stumps out. Won’t take long, however you then have to get rid of them. But will let you establish grass much more easily. Grinding mixes up grindings and soil and grass doesn’t like to grow in it so well.
  20. What do you want to do with the ground afterwards?
  21. What are the terms of the lease?
  22. Agree, if you're going to go to the effort of strapping it on each time (ooh missus!) then get a bigger one.
  23. The extra counterweight and uprated motors are called the performance pack. I think it's basically motors and counterweight from an E20. Not sure why it's not listed. Consider whether you want long or short arm. Many say the long arm is too long. Short arm is the same as my outgoing Hyundai 'long arm', and I'd have gone even shorter if they offered it as you want less length when using grabs etc. What did they tell you for lead time?
  24. Oregon Yukon. Cheap and comfy.
  25. Can’t stand how a ring hitch clanks around. Dont see why anyone would run one rather than a ball personally.
