  1. Its the price we beautiful ones have to pay sometimes! I like wearing my ppe, it always starts up a conversation, and often leads to work. I think girls in ppe look hot, its how i met my wife, complimenting her saftey glasses. (she's a stone letter cutter)
  2. So did you go for the red or the grey? I have just done the same as you and gone for the vented ones in red, I just hope they fit when they get here, its the only problem with mail order.
  3. Hi Peter, I have been really enjoying this thread, your work is fantastic and looks very well thought out. Just a hypothetical question, and possibly something that someone may ask you to build if its an idea that works, could you apply your pro tipper concept with high sides like on the ifor tipper trailer, to a plant trailer? I was shoveling a load of chip out of a mates plant trailer and it started me thinking, if only this trailer could tip it would be perfect! Just an idea, but if it worked and you make and sell loads, and become the new ifor williams, can i have a free one with a french certificate of conformity as a royalty??? Keep up the great work and keep posting photos of your creations.
  4. Beech, Blackthorn and Hazel for me.
  5. Cheers for that, I only wanted a stihl as i have first hand experience with their blowers, anf tbh i would like most of my tools to match, few huskys in their tho!
  6. Hi Guys and Gals, Has any body got or used one? I have been offered one for 150 euros and am told it just needs a new flexi pipe. Never used a makita, and was after a stihl, but it seems fairly cheap, and may be suitable for me? Should i jump on it, or avoid?
  7. No, its just an indication of your bad advertising, and the copy of your stump grinder thread i take with me to show customers when I price up jobs! Chin up, I'm sure the phone will be ringing soon enough
  8. Free entry and a ferry ticket??? Just kidding, I hope the show goes well, wish I could be there.
  9. That was the point of my post, but I used the P word, seems its too offensive and it got edited:blushing:
  10. blind folded and tied to posts, firing squad style?
  11. very good!
  12. If its only as half as good as the MS361, it will still be a fantastic saw!
  13. Thanks for all the feedback guys, I have just put an order in with Gustharts for some Pfaner ventilation A's, so cant wait to try them! Got a pair of airstreams at the same time to keep the ventilation theme going! thanks again for all your advice chaps. And before Mick Stockbridge gets in their first and says i look like a gay power ranger or the like, you look like a class 3 saddle sniffer (class 3: lifetime ban from Tour de France events and school bike sheds)
  14. Try putting the saddle back on, that may help fatty
  15. So that if somebody has the same waist size they can give an informed opinion on fit, like Stubby did, are you that stupid Micky?
  16. Hi Chaps, Time for some new armor and have decided to treat myself to some nicer ventilated trousers, I am on the skinny side of the scale with a 32" waist and would like some feedback from other bean poles on which trouser type a they prefer. Im thinking of stretch air ventilation, or stihl x fit? Really want good ventilation even for the winter, and a close fit would be nice too. There are no shops near me so will have to go down the mail order route, so cant try before i buy........ again! I will be climbing in them but 75% of the time will be ground work. Thanks for your thoughts. NL
  17. Take your lunch and drinks in a cool box, and take a couple of flexible ice packs like the kind you get from the physio/ sport recovery. You could try putting them in your pockets, or even in your lid? I havent tried them in this way but have used them at tea/lunch breaks. A hydration back pack with ice cold water may help too.
  18. It makes it so much cooler doing a burn out next to a petrol pump!
  19. There is a good website, something like "camping a la ferme" and its small farm type sites with local produce and the like. I stayed at one in the swiss normande a couple of years back and it was fairly basic but nice and quiet. A really good museum is Dead mans corner, between Carantan (a nice town imo) and st. mere eglise. Very much worth a visit, especially if you have seen band of brothers recently! Granville is great for eating out, a haunt of the Parisians, there is a great little cafe there called piquorette, in the old part of down, opposite the casino. Owner speaks fairly good english too. Avoid the ex-pat bars at all costs! Have fun in my little piece of heaven
  20. Some people would complain if you hanged them with a brand new rope! Put in your bill and move on, perhaps an idea to add a line to future quotes or invoices that you can only guarantee materials provided by, and recommended by yourself.
  21. A big pogo stick? up down, up down, up down. Bungee jump? A MEWP? Foot lock up, free fall down? (only works once)
  22. There seem to be some good credit deals advertised on here, like Timber wolf for £54 a week. Must be cheaper than hiring one, and you get to keep it at the end of the day. I dont normally like to get anything on the never never, but with chippers being so expensive, even second hand, it seems like a plot. If there were deals like that here, I would consider it, as we pay 188 euros a day for a bandit 6" from our local hire company, and thats the only decent chipper to hire for miles.
  23. I think a 3 cube box it will be, no chance of over loading accidentally that way. Thanks
  24. That is a fantastic looking truck! I have liked the look of RB44's for some time and wondered how they would look arb'd up. Keep the pictures coming.
  25. Had my Stihl combi can for 5 years or more and its still going strong! one new oil spout is all it has needed. Keep a pair of grips handy to open the oil side when topping up, as it gets a bit slick to grip with yer mitts!
