    Best Loppers?

I've been using some spear and Jackson ones from Argos, about £26 anvil, extendable with ratchet. Gets through anything plus doesn't matter if break/ lose them at that price
  3. Bicentennial man Shawshank redemption
  4. Correct. Never seen one before so had to Google myself, massive thing. Though it was one of the wife's garden ornaments!
  5. Found this one in my garden yesterday, anyone know what it is without googling?
  6. £2500 but that was three of them, huge and long sloping drag. Think it took four days
  7. I can't remember anything on the back but the link to the pictures of them above shows some screws so may have been. The plastic was about 1cm thick, pretty rigid with small amount of flex
  8. Shame, used to do some work for a firm who had one, been looking for one since started doing my own bits as was a handy tool, would have been perfect for today, been reducing privet hedges so tiny leaves everywhere a normal rake won't touch
  9. Think he was called Nottingham rake? Been looking for one of these rakes too, if you track him down let us know!
  10. Just been to price a big ash to pollard or take down dependant on price, phoneline through it, 2 garages, 3 sheds, 2 fences,to come out for access and over 4 gardens. Everything would need lowering, minimum 2 days for 3 guys. They told me when got there they'd had a really high price, in conversation let slip it's for £550! Didn't even give a price as not even in the ball park, so no, big trees aren't paying for me right now!
  11. Agreed. Got a similar non stihl can for around £15, needed a new spout for it yesterday and had to use eBay for a stihl non spill as can't use the online dealers...
  12. liked all the ones posted here so far, mines Here
  13. ntl (virgin now) were the worst for not burying cables, hit one with a saw that was just threaded through a conifer hedge I was taking out a few years back, luckily only nicked it and managed to repair myself with some electrical tape from the tool box
  14. Very close to home, sorry to see this has happened again
  15. I wear SIP freedom 1 type A, they have protection around the calves, good price and have lasted ages. Zips on the pockets broke fairly quickly which is only gripe.
  16. http://www.stihl.co.uk no?
  17. Chap I know had same situation, chipper saws etc stored at home, neighbour complained and he ended up moving his stuff elsewhere, not sure if due to legality of running a business (is a ltd company so may be different rules to self employed?) or just for an easy life
  18. Who was robbed if don't mine my asking? I know someone had bits stolen in st Albans a few nights ago. Got caravans parked up a minutes walk from my house since yesterday so paranoid atm
  19. In Markyate, few miles from you, and just started but blue skies about to breakout so back to it before the next downpour!
  20. I wouldn't scan it, just fell it, with it leaning over a road its not worth the risk
  21. My dad used to run those, the battery was behind the cab, under the body, we used to have to chain it on to stop it found walkies. Any decent sized battery should do?
  22. We've got a 2002 ms340, I think they came out when they added the ms prefix
  23. its been on sale forever and a day, has been knocking about on ebay for around £25000 still mounted. Can't fathom out why you'd build it when the stand alone chipper would have done the same job http://www.agriaffaires.co.uk/used/wood-chipper/2465709/greenmech-chipper-shredder.html
  24. http://www.1-2-print.co.uk/Flyers/A6_250_gsm/?3.73349 You upload your artwork and they send them out. I just did a few here and there when had a spare day but bought in enough to warrant the effort, very boring soul destroying stuff though! Am doing a little £120 job on Monday that's a follow up on a job from last year I got from them so I say if you're quiet then get out there
