  1. super easy if its the same as the 530, one bolt holds a cover in place, take that out and the anvil has a thread on it you can screw a long bolt into and pull it out, 15 minute job

    it's been done ?
  5. Makes no difference. They just go through the chipper attached to the branches anyway
  6. I had a 2011 that was a good saw, no issues and cut great, got stolen so got a 550, never quite got on with it so got rid of that this year and got a ms362, don't think i'll bother with 50cc saws again tbh
  7. last week everytime I looked at the phone another 5-6 calls on it, bit quieter this week, cant puzzle it out why get loads one day nothing the next. Plenty to get on with though
  8. Defo get one if you can, this week alone i've taken £470 for stump grinding on top of what I made for taking out the trees (only 1 job was purely stump grinding which i charged £120 and took 30 mins)
  9. yeah got a pair on right now, no problems at all, not too hot even in this temp. im about a 32-34 depending where Im shopping and medium fit me fine
  10. Definately. I was quoted a grand to have a 4 page site some years back, so went and played with templates and did my own. Update it myself when I feel it needs it and have got it pretty high in the local area searches, costs me £5 a month and i've got complete control
  11. I don't trust that lot as far as i can throw them, used to live on a road with a 2 hour parking limit which ended at 6pm. Got home one day about 3pm and just before 5pm went down to move my car and spotted the warden next to it, explain I live there and will move. No bother he says, just leave it there as I live there. Next morning come out, ticket on it half hour after I spoke with him ??
  12. As Steve said, doing a week or 2 getting tickets means nothing in the real world. You'll have no idea on shaping a tree and learn quickly how to repair fences! Get some experience for a few years and look at it again when you see how a tree firm operates. Hope it works out for you
  13. no, you really don't! No commercial climbing experience and wanting to drum up business when the phones all go quiet for tree work?
  14. Do you need receipts for the saws? not sure i'd find mine if the saws went missing
  15. That's alright if you can buy it in bulk and have space to store it. I use petrol stations to fill my chipper on diesel so my next one is most likely going to be the petrol forst
  16. I think there's merit either way, my first chipper was a timberwolf 18/100 I paid £2000 for and sold 18 months later for £2800. Then bought another used chipper a jensen a530 for £6000 which i've been running for 3 years now. I've had to spend on it, probably about £1500 (not including blades etc) so not end of the world, maybe I was lucky? Currently in save up mode for a decent deposit on a brand new machine to keep the monthly outgoings down
  17. is the existing sprocket on the 2511 thats currently running the sugi bar and chain on mine ok with this bar and a stihl chain?
  18. If these bars will run an off the shelf stihl chain on the echo sign me up!
  19. The old style heads never did this after 3 months and i've never seen a broken handle on a 200t from a slight knock
  20. While we're on the subject of weight can you stop making things lighter when noone asked you to. The new style km hedge cutter heads shatter and quite frankly I cant tell the difference between them and the £99 home owner range. The ms201t airfilter cover lasts a week, if you're lucky, and the handle 2 weeks. Just build solid tools again will you??
  21. How does that work then? according to the stihl website the kma130r is 3.2kg a a100 battery is 0.8kg so 4kg overall, compared to the km131r which is 4.4kg and that's the dry weight
  22. yup, i replaced a fuel tank/handle assembly on mine and that bit is under there so its carb off, tank off to get to it, 90 minute job id imagine, less for dealer if knows where everything goes!
  23. it'll be fine, lick of paint and it'll last years

    50 cc saw

just changed my 550 for a ms362, little extra weight but running 18 inches very happily
