  1. Eder Power Winch is nice but they are about £1800 i think....so i've stuck with my tirfor for now!
  2. HK how much kit do you have to maintain nightly? Sometimes if i've had a late finish and there are 3/4 saws that need doing and i can't be assed! So i do 1 or 2 and do the others early the next morning.
  3. or try and buy my old Greenmech chipper. I sold it to a good friend in Wiltshire 2 years ago and he no longer uses it. He wants £1200 for it. It has a Briggs & Stratton 14 hp V Twin engine which is very cheap to run and seeing as it's a Greenmech it outperforms the Haecksler hands down (we actually put this claim to the test). If you are interested let me know. K
  4. Hi Andy, you still with CICA? I need to get some sickness and accident cover too as my Wife keeps reminding me i'm not super human.
  5. 'Spud' He's an Arbtalker on this site. use the search facility to find him.
  6. @Stubby what will a ported & muff modded 395xp pull bar wise, 40 inch bar maybe?
  7. brand new Defender 130. http://www.mod-sales.com/vehicle/search/84060/Land_Rover.htm
  8. All the officially imported D Maxes over here are either 2.5 Twin Turbo or the latest model is a 1.9 Turbo.
  9. Blandford Forum, Dorset. Groundie wanted next week Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (12th, 13th & 14th March) All you need is the usual PPE and a ground saw. Nothing too taxing and all you will be required to do is sned out and feed the chipper with 2 of others. £120 per day. Ken 07946606093
  10. @monkeybusiness @Pete B A lot of people seem to slate one brand or another and i suspect it's generally unjustified. A chap i spoke to last night (a very friendly competitor of mine) has a Quadchip with 1000 hours on it and was raving on about how good they are, this is his second Quadchip as he traded in his first one. No matter what i buy it'll be a step in the right direction from my 19 year old Crary Bearcat 25HP petrol which is still in great condition and in use weekly. Either way i gotta make my mind up asap. A new machine is out of the question unless someone wants to give me 0% finance on 50% of the purchase price. Regards to one and all.
  11. Ok i was slow off the mark and pondering my options cud have been a good thing as i may struggle with a 1450KG chipper in fields/paddocks behind the Transit or 4x4 pickup. Time to consider a lighter weight machine and hope it has enuf metal / build quality to stay together.
  12. Thas quite a task for a HiAb me thinks.
  13. The rodeo is 3l but only 130bhp, the dmax is 2.5l @ 160bhp, not sure they did a 3l dmax silly me as i assumed both were older Rodeos and on closer inspection i can see the single cab is indeed the newer D-Max! Believe it or not there is a 3.0L D-Max but i have only ever seen 1 in the UK as it was an Import from Australia i believe, It's not an option available over here from new though. Your single cab looks smart, is it uprated to 3500KG Gross?
  14. Just heard from a landy obsessed pal that the crew cab landy 130 chassis it too long to handle a tipper? i spotted a long landy 130 in an Exmoor village one day last year and mentioned it to anudder Arbtalker. He knew the owner and said it had cracked it's chassis a couple of times and had to be repaired.
  15. Hi George, are they both full fat 3.0 Rodeos? They will give a Toyota Hilux 3.0 Invincible a run for their money if those Isuzu's are the 160bhp versions and/or have the Prodrive performance pack fitted.
  16. I think the cubic meter capacity being stated is a tad optimistic judging by the photos provided.
  17. sounds like a great truck Donnk, is it a 6.5 tonner, can we see a pic please?
  18. computer says no today, so i'm off out to remove the diesel injection pump from the Wife's Hyundai and we'll fit a new seals kit. I probably won't work till next week now.
  19. and the tax man!!!
  20. @Billhook What do you use the frame work for that is attached to the front of the Stiga?
  21. that is amazing. I don't know anything about or have anything to do with carving but work like that really catches my eye.
  22. some monies worth there Donnk.
  23. Hi Josh, i was thinking more like 11k plus VAT.
  24. The TCF one looks better on paper imho. I have ordered a lot of optional extras with it like the wide wheels as well as the narrow wheels, kevlar tyres, 50mm tow bar etc. It's expensive and i could have had a local man knock up one to a similar spec. but opted to buy one instead.
  25. Like Ena Sharples wrinkly stockings
