  2. Between tidying up and thinking how im going to make the load cell work i machined one of the eyes Should have the maching completed tomorrow completed tomorrow Arduino is programmed, though i keep adding functions
  3. Ive used old 11mm lsk its peanuts as its my used abseiling rope
  4. Well my load cell arrived as did the amplifier Programmed the Arduino last night so i can have different load cells different calibration factors and use one circuit. Assuming the datasheet is correct will be accurate at topend within 12kg almost certainly less in reality Just need to make a case for the load cell to prevent mechanical overload I then had an idea which meant i could make the unit portable with an lcd will be super handy on some more involved rigging jobs basically a homemade enforcer Have a good number of pull tests i want to do.

  6. I went for 2 lewmars not self tailing, will be converted eventually though it hasn't been an issue £70 for the pair

  8. Little update, i have something else that i am needing to load test so ive bought a load cell and will put together a pull test rig and test my bollard. Looking to achieve 5:1 safety factor good thing i have 2 capstans one might come to its demise

  10. Sitting scrolling waiting for the vet I have one of these but not serated must have had it about 7 years its very handy, earlier this year it and some other kit got ran over on site

  15. Dont forget you might like climbing guided soley by shigo, but it aint your gig do as your asked it aint your name on the job. Though there is a good niche for meter reductions for some companies

  20. I know a few with them, other than look at me they dont have anything unique plus the muffs are not that high of an snr
  21. Im happy to use the strap, but more often than not forget and its undone yet to loose my lid. The chinstrap wont cause any harm and will protect from a second blow but in tree work personally thats not likely to happy.
