  1. I cant personally think of anything more frustrating than having two lines. All a complete nonsense. Seemingly with no evidence. I can't see how its possible to have 2 sperate anchors on a single lead tree! If the other line is a foot lower keeping equal tension will be nye impossible. Im certainly non compliant so is everyone I've worked with, some being 30 years served climbers! I suggest the aa and hse do us a proper demonstration.
  2. Become a good groundsman and in your spare time become a good climber when i started seemingly ages ago now, i used to climb in a local forest and got really good at limb walks and swings. But as the saying goes, start low and slow see if you have a local recreational tree climbing group near by.
  3. Isnt the simplest solution to this towing an asap or duck on a second line much like irata
  4. Just checked mine its dated 2013, I'll be using my camp non stop now
  5. Rubber mallet works well, also double apline is easier to untie
  6. I would be looking at a sensible reduction and thin, pollard it and it will almost certainly be back to where you started in a few years or a year. Last sensible reduction i did on my parents lime lasted 5 years then the neighbor had it pollarded year on its bushier than before.
  7. To chuck in another option, ive got a camp gt access with shoulder straps i bought it as i was doing loads of abseiling work (irata) i really like it, previous to that had and still do occasionally use my treemotion. The gt access i find really comfy well set up gear loops and legs straps i also like the shoulder straps when running a big saw. The shoulder straps come of really easily aswell.
  8. I know the are pretty well and will say that the woodland is noticeable from the road. i also feel the council are very fair in regards to trees.
  9. meindl
  10. its hard for me im 21. i wear checked shirts moleskin's and im sloppy with shaving, i dont want a label that's why i try to be unfashionable, this is too close for me
  11. take out the inner and sew them into another pair of trousers
  12. Not for knuckles though.
  13. Now i can agree with that entirely
  14. Need somone who would like to tryout my new tether for the rw ive been using mine for about 3 months. i like it would like a second opinion before i make a bunch. If your interested let me know. want to know how often you use your RW and what length eye to eye you would like. Many thanks
  15. its like telling somone you must wear a seat belt. its really down to them. if it works for you cool man. i used to off road (motorbikes) i used to ride stupidly aggressively with no added protection one of my knees doesn't work properly when its cold. but i chose that, i now accept it/ live with it. and i wouldnt advice/tell anyone to do anything they arnt cool with. unless new to the sport or activity.
  16. well that was rather unexciting. worked perfectly.
  17. Dont disagree with that. but i was self taught by watching guys like you. if i strop in its normally in a position where i can reach more than one cut
  18. i agree. its just being complacent. i find i do what i can to get my self in to a safe position, if you can strop in easily your probably stable and not over stretching or twisting . but i do feel that sometimes its not always needed.
  19. I've made one. But was furniture grade. Aiming is the hard part
  20. I bought the weaver saw scabbard from Honies seems to work well. Gets it first tryout tomorrow
  21. I stopped looking when I put on a tree motion.
  22. STATIC R44 11.0 - SingingRock.cz Did a long line of oaks ground acnhor had a about 2mtr left over on the base anchor, when at full length couldn't feel any stretch. I like climbing on it not sure how abrasion resistant it will prove to be. but it last 1/2 the time of arb rope its cheap.
  23. i use a rope made by singing rock its 11.7 same specs as arb rope. ITs strange though as it feels stiff can be pushed up like a snake to a point but runs really smooth and knots nicely. haven't noticed any twisting or milking. i bought 200ft for £80
  24. Does anyone know where i can get a bundle of cheaper carabiners preferably steel for zip lining Cheers
  25. best things ive down. I never struggle to find work but i have a my own kit and saws. and my kit is always ready to be used. If im looking short for work i get on the phone.
