  1. Evening Matty, I don’t know if it’s right. It was posted on a FB page by someone local to the area.
  2. The single rear wheels would put me off. I guess it depends on what work you do and where you need to get the van in/out of.
  3. I’ve just been reading elsewhere that this kid who’s alleged to have done this didn’t fell it, apparently he damaged it and a tree surgeon felled it to make it safe at the request of the council. Don’t know if that’s correct or not. Little tw@t still needs a slap if he did damage it mind.
  4. Build things on schedule and on budget. HS2 (to mention one) is a shambles that’s massively over budget and overdue. Discuss…
  5. Some sad people about by the sounds of it. I bought a place next to the canal because I enjoy seeing the boats. I for one wouldn’t be reporting someone for keeping warm.
  6. What a croc! Who’s going to police it?… The article says they will rely on homeowners to report smoke, good luck with that. And narrowboats are measured in feet not meters.
  7. Just got on to a NHS dentist today, only because I saw on a local fb page that the dentist was taking on new clients. The reviews and rates look ok.
  8. New gearstick knob for when I next visit Wales.
  9. I’m fairly sure trig did is own some time back using a gravity system taking away the need for a recirculating pump. I’ve seen it on boats but can’t remember the science of it apart from the pipe work was run at angles rather than conventional pipe work,
  10. He was shagging anything with a heartbeat back in the day, he’d probably even got one over our Les if he had the chance.
  11. Been out all day, but yes, I’m actually listening to an article about it just now. Something I hadn’t thought about is they aren’t a breed, so how will they define an XL? On a side note my mates widow has one, I’ve only seen it twice once when it was a pup and then a few weeks ago, it’s a big powerful dog but seems ok. When I was round there we were sat in her garden with her grandchildren about, not something I’d be doing with a dog like that, and I’m fairly sure my mate wouldn’t have it if he was still about.
  12. I’ll bet anyone they don’t get banned by the end of the year as Sunak suggests, perhaps rules that say they must always be muzzled/ on a lease in public, perhaps even nuted (sp) but not completely band.
  13. Not to worry bud, I think I’ve got somewhere sorted, after way to many phone calls. Just waiting for it to be confirmed. It’s this simple, if a I can’t find somewhere at the right price I ain’t going.
  14. Anyone got a bit of land i can pull onto for a few weeks, Suffolk, Essex border. Ideally with water and electric but I can work around those. Only gone and got a load of work and can’t find anywhere to pull until end of November, well, I can if I want to pay £40/night to stay on a campsite. Willing to pay decent money for the pitch, just not £280 a week.
  15. Where are these cheap dogs you speak of?

New text, 11:55 to 12:55 today, just when I won’t be home to sign for it…
  17. Probably, but I’m going to get a coffee and walk the cut instead, just need a dog now for company.
  18. Morning Stubby, why I’m awake at this unearthly hour is beyond me, I’ve not got to be anywhere before 10 o’clock.
  19. You are not genuinely curious, don’t talk like a prick, what interest do you have in narrowboats, none whatsoever is probably the answer. If you did have a genuine interest you’d know what the going value was. Now feck off and troll someone else you prick.
  20. Have your suspicions, it’s worth scrap money as it sits, and won’t make the asking price, get off and troll those people you don’t claim to troll.
  21. I’ve tried to be sensible with him and offered what it’s worth, £8k, but he won’t have it, I guess it will be sat where it is for a while more.
  22. Depends on size, but yes, £60k would get you a new insulated sail away.
