    DHL

To tell you the truth I don’t give a flying why it wasn’t delivered on time, just tell me when it will be here, not sending numerous messages telling me it’s on its way. I’ve told a customer that the parcel will be delivered last Friday, I still haven’t got it. Not only do I look dishonest I’ve got to take the cost of putting a tanker in there again today. Can you tell I’m not happy?

    DHL

I wouldn’t mind but I told a lady on Thursday that I’d have the parcel on Friday because that’s what I was told. It causes problems I don’t need.

    DHL

Are all couriers shite, it doesn’t seem to matter who I use there’s always a problem, DHL tracker on Friday, parcel will be delivered between 17:10 & 18:10, nope. Next message, your parcel will be delivered on Saturday the 9th, nope. Now the tracker is saying it’s at the delivery depot ready for dispatch tomorrow. It can’t be that difficult, can it?
  4. Road signs get changed as the road changes, mileposts are listed as significant points of interest and don’t get moved,or changed. One near where I used to live was about 2 miles out due to the A134 being straightened in the 1960’s.
  5. You mean the same place where the original Charing Cross (Eleanor Cross) was, and all distances to London are measured from?
  6. Or you could strap yourself to the underside of a truck and get a lift through the Chunnel… Oh, hang on.
  7. Each to their own, I’d be away and thinking about booty later.
  8. Agreed, The UK is a big place to get lost in though. Although he’s young he’s had training in the Armed Forces. He’d got the head to get out with no assistance from outside, surely the idea would then to stay out. Old dogs and new tricks springs to mind.
  9. Daniel Khalife captured in Chiswick. What a clown, four days on the run and not shipping out.
  10. I know, let’s put someone accused of spying in Wandsworth when high security Belmarsh is just down the road.
  11. Normally we’ll known landmarks, the notional centre of London is Charing Cross.
  12. Better by the day😉
  13. Never would anyone get me up there.
  14. No, every village, town, city has a centre point, that’s where road signs should be measured from. Perhaps those few early years working on the roads got me obsessed with crap signage.
  15. I know, but it’s more like 12.5 miles away.
  16. I probably shouldn’t bother, but it’s Walsham, and it’s not 9 miles from Bury-st-Ed’s.
  17. Triggered Mandy, whoever came up with that needs to go to top of the class!😎
  18. Why would you think he was implying that?
  19. Oh yes we do, you post links of it on a basis daily.
  20. Secondhand rods do seem cheap, Shimanno bait runners not so. For a basic kit £400 or under what would you get?

    Fishing

Thinking of a basic setup, couple of rods, reels, bite alarms and maybe a spinning rod. What would you get for this winter Pike fishing? Don’t want to be spending a fortune.
  22. The same way ‘we’ changed the law to stop people claiming asylum until they get here, hence the number of illegals we are getting. Let them claim asylum overseas, if they are genuine they can come, if they aren’t the don’t come. 20% straight off the net figure.
  23. Yes I know, now, back to my point, we could stop 20% coming in by changing the law, unfortunately that doesn’t win votes.
  24. Really? I was listening to an article on the wireless the other day that suggested 80% of asylum/illegals got granted permission to stay. If that’s the case we could keep 20% out before they cross the water?
  25. Until the bullshiit law is changed nothing will change, let’s face it, they are coming, so let’s change the law, let them apply for asylum where they are, not when they’ve crossed illegally! It’s funny how the poorer parts of the country cop the most of these asylum seekers/illegals ,four of the biggest hotels in Stoke are packed with them.
